I mean isn't wolfenstein literally the version of life where it isn't ok?We're getting Wolfenstein 2 and a new Metroid Prime is getting made.
Life is okay.

I'm pretty sure before this Croix says something in the lines of "Most of the audience would not use magic in their lives anyway (since they're muggles) so it's fine taking their Dream energy." Thus there's only any real harm if any child is from a magical lineage and ends up losing her magic (like Diana), but Chariot is unpopular in the witches circle anyway so no worries about that.LWA TV-23
Wait wut? Then how did AkkoDidn't she come from a muggle family?lose her magic?
The old description of Patlabor with the poster for Movie 1... Dare I hope for something that has to do with the old cast? But then there's that Twin Peaks situation with the VA cast now probably old or dead already...Closer pics of the Patlabor EZY poster

I have a somewhat mixed impression of the episode as a whole, which is partly why I didn't want to write it up (that and I still need to do my 08 MS Team writeup too). The episode largely serves as an infodump for Shiny Chariot's background and instead of giving her backstory justice in a fleshed out manner ala Fate/Zero or Madoka, it rushes through the emotional beats so it mostly comes across as superficial. There was enough material in the first six or seven minutes for a pretty great two parter. The writers could have focused more on the increasing pressure on Shiny Chariot and her own desperation to stay relevant. They could have also used that extra runtime to flesh out Croix and Shiny Chariot's relationship. For something that is pretty much the driving force of the entire show, it's not treated with that same prominence from the scriptwriting side[...]
Not particularly, in fact, I think we're basically on the same page.Alright Jex, I'm starting my writeup. We're probably gonna diverge a bit. lol
From Annecy comes news that Urusawa's Pluto will be getting adapted into anime and a new Patlabor project (Patlabor EZY) is happening. Presumably this is the Pluto project Maruyama had been trying to get off the ground at MAPPA, and a follow up to Yoshiura's Patlabor Reboot short.
holy shit how'd i skim over this
Bad kitty.
So Hell Girl is getting a 4th season. I guess someone likes it. Any fans here?
True but Raccoon is an idiot and I have a soft spot for idiots like her. Alpaca is Crested Ibis' friend and thus a good Friend by extension. Plus I like her design.Raccoon is not bird friend.
Sentai having another sale on their website. Doesn't look like some of the regular edition blus are priced all that great but the prices on the CE's are good with some of the more recent releases on sale.
Amagi Brilliant Park $57.99
Is it Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon $52.99
No Game No Life $51.99
My Love Story $63.99
Monthly Girls Nozaki-Kun $41.99
Shipping is free over $50 and they use rightstuf as their distributor.

The most interesting part about last week's twistwas that it was an explicit betrayal on a number of levels. Not just on the teacher/student level, but also the entertainer/fan and role model/inspired person level. It even subverted the expectations of a light-hearted story. This served as a real emotional gut punch that brought the last episode to a shocking conclusion.
Yet this episode basically reverses all of that, it pulls that punch all the way back in a completely unsatisfying manner.Chariot literally didn't know what she was doing. She was duped, and it really wasn't her fault. This is such a boring way to tell this story because it basically means that Chariot was always good. She doesn't even really need to feel bad because she was not responsible. It would have been far more interesting to see her struggle with her career more, and eventually succumb to the temptation of using the 'Dark Magic' again. If she knowingly did something wrong that would at least give her the ability to have a proper 'redemption' arc later on. But instead she's just a wholly good person. Boo.

some guy on reddit said:I'm just gonna do a quick runthrough of what Violet Evergarden is so far.
There are 2 Light Novels released, with the first novel only having the last chapter untranslated. So what do we know from the chapters we have?
The rough format of the show.
Well it's episodic. Each chapter is its own self contained story. There is very little connecting each chapter. Rather there is only one thing connecting each chapter and that is Violet Evergarden.
What we won't get:
Now you could be thinking "oh cool we get to watch her grow and such throughout these short stories that develop her?". And eeeh... not really. None of the chapters so far is from Violet Evergardens POV. Every chapter introduces a new character and it is from their POV mostly. Now there are a few hints of character development here and there for Violet Evergarden, and I'm expecting the last chapter to be more of it as so far we barely know our title character, but mostly it is about the POV characters for each chapter that the stories are about.
What are the stories about?
Well they are varied, but none of them are unique. You've seen them before. It's clichéd mostly, and melodramatic for some of them. It's good, but it's not great.
I may have sorta underselled it but I just don't want this to get overhyped before it has even aired (it already sorta has) because it's not that great
I see you have come to term with our 3D Mecha overlords
I am excited for this, but god would I kill for a new Getter Robo anime.

Hopefully that comes after this.
EDIT: Some other robots from the Go Nagai universe should be in the movie, so who knows, maybe Getter Robo will show up in this.
2D will forever be superior but if Go Nagai is okay with a 3D Mazinger Z then so am I.
Koyomimonogatari 01
Seems like a side story before the events of the first arc of Bake and it was neat.
It's been a while since I've gone back to Monogatari. It sure felt good.

Some random reddit guy's comment concerning Violet Evergarden:
I'll keep my expectations in check because that doesn't sound appealing to me at all.
you have to watch the entire thing, trust me. a lot of it is mediocre but you gotta watch it
