Spyro Reignited Trilogy has sold-through 10 million units globally

Great number for a 20+ year old game, it's a shame that still Microsoft doesn't see there is a market for platformers.

Well deserved. Fantastic collection imo! Wish they'd make a fourth game like they did with Crash.

The trilogy remake was a fine effort. Especially the first game with all the unique designs on the dragons you rescue, some only seen for seconds. They ought to recycle them for Spyro 4 as NPCs.

Steam version is 75% off.
Get it and ForgettiSpaghetti's "Elora's Faunbags" from Mod Nexus, it *is* exactly what it sounds like, but it also removes her cleft lip and the current year ugly stick treatment she got.

It is discounted on Xbox too.

So it's going to get a 60fps patch on consoles right? ...Right?

Meanwhile on PC:
All right, framerate, framerate, framerate! Come on in framerate lovers!
This is a framerate blow out! All right, we got 40fps, 48fps, 60fps, 72fps 120fps, 240fps! If it breaks the physics, you don't want it.

But seriously, they should patch it on consoles.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy has sold through 10 million units worldwide, publisher Activision and developer Toys for Bob announced.

The collection, which includes remakes of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon, first launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 13, 2018, followed by Switch and PC via Steam on September 3, 2019.

The Spyro series will celebrate its 25th anniversary on September 9. In a press release, Activision said to follow the series' social media accounts on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram "to keep up with the 25th-anniversary celebrations."

Was always a game I wanted to own on PS1, played the demo loads but when I got the trilogy I was surprised at how much I didn't really like it.
Definitely a game I remembered with rose tinted glasses.

The thought of Spyro 4 getting the Hidden Box Simulator treatment of Crash 4 scares me...
Well the thing that makes me believe more in thier Spyro 4 than crash 4 is one they worked on the trilogy remake unlike crash and 2 spyro has never been about being a difficult game, I think the developers misinterpreted what makes crash bandicoot crash (they think the harder the better) and as a result while its a very good game its awful to 100%.

Won't they have the studio that made those remakes? I thought they were letting studios do their thing, or at least they were until redfall fiasco

I always wanted to play the games as a child but could only at friends house for brief moments, the trilogy gave me the chance. My wife got it on Switch since she was also nostalgic then I recently double dipped on PC so I can have them at high frame rates. Those animations deserve it.

Great games, they are good for when I don't want something complex, just fun, running around funding stuff, they're short, direct experiences without being pretentious.
