Square Enix teasing their E3 booth

I've always really liked this scene because it looks as is Noctis and Stella don't want to fight each other but for whatever reason they're forced to. I really hope that is something that is a major plot point in the game.

Like I said the idea was that in this game when chosen by the crystal some sort of alien personality wants to take over your body.

I can see why you say that.

Unrelated, but you know what I want? I want to be able to change the clothes of the characters. Mainly because I want to be wearing that suit at all times.

I'm trying to be ABAP.(As Baller As Possible)

I was wanting the same :) Come on can I get everyone in a suit. Girls included.

#ABAP

Too flashy and just seems very... overly dramatic.

How much of an impact or how relevant is the FF franchise, let alone Versus, after what happened with the numbered series on the HD home consoles?

Depends on how similar Versus looks to FFXIII. If it is just the same cringe-worthy, animu style melodrama but with everyone wearing black instead of rainbow colors, then the impression of the series won't change much.

The first lines of dialogue they speak in English come E3 is gonna make it or break it.

Hope they pick something good.

Yup. I remember the first trailer with FFXIII english dub. I was already turned off on the game quite a bit before then, but that just sealed the deal. I wasn't going to be running that garbage in my living room.

Final Fantasy is still as relevant as ever. The FF name/IP is one of the few ones that are still able to move consoles in the whole world.

I just want some different voice actors. Not Laura Bailey, not Troy Baker. They are good but changes are always welcome.

Yeah, as others have pointed already, being flashy and overdramatic is a staple at this point for the series. I dont get why complain just now. It has always been like this.

Noctis orgy...Noctis orgy

lol

Well it reminds me something that came out of a shounen anime. Idk. lol.

Well it was a teaser CG trailer.

They had to get the idea across while not have them say anything, so yeah it came off a bit overly dramatic.

I want them to get some non-American English VAs this time. Like they did for XII.

Looks like the polygon budget on the characters have been lowered (looking at the shoulders and hair) and flatter looking textures.

Plus, Stella is now starting to look similar to Reanbell from Resonance of Fate:

I wonder if they will make it a cross generational title.

lol They really look alike.

Regarding the cross gen thing. Rumors are actually pointing to the fact that it is a PS4 game now. But we will see.

I think it looks bad because they didn't know WTF they were doing with that scene (and probably the designs and graphics) at the time. We have the 2009 in-game version of Stella, then the 2011 in-game version which looks really unfinished, and now we know that that scene is now CG.

Mime drama ftw.

What it reminds me of is MAJOR TYPE-0 SPOILERS

how Machina and Rem are forced to fight by the Crystals once they become L'Cie.
Which is in keeping with the FNC theme that the Crystals are not benevolent.

I think the idea of the l'cie and crystal mythos is interesting but ugh. I just want to be done of it now. Move on.
