Partner spawning can make a huge difference in the tide and flow of the game yet so few do it. There should be an incentive, a small amount of points for example, for doing so.

I wish it was more consistent as to when I can actually choose the partner spawn.

I really hope this means we'll be getting more customization options soon. That's one aspect of BF that's undeniably terrible.

There is not much to customize in the star wars universe...

StormTrooper with fancy colors and shaders would look awful and so out of place...

Yeah, worse than helmetless. They're better off giving different skin options for Imps, like Officer, TIE pilot, and Death Star guard. At least they won't look as out of place as rainbow Stormtroopers.

Where did you get this from?

http://www.starwarsnewsnet.com/2014...ilogy-possibly-getting-a-blu-ray-release.html

It was talked about in a Collider video I seen as well about someone on the inside mentioned it was delayed due to having to fix issues with damage, etc, so they have not made an official announcement yet, but they are supposedly still working on them, and wanted them out before TFA. However, I suppose they could release them before Rogue One or on the 40th Anniversary of ANH next year.

Battlefield games gave you an incentive didn't they? Anyone down for some games in a bit?

What "good"-side skins could they add?

Rebel Trooper Outfits from ANH Tantive IV with proper helmet (not just to escort Leia, those are not the proper Rebel Guard and they have white Endor Helmets on [placeholder until all models are build, like Palpatine's?]), Rebel Officers, the Proper Rebel Honor Guard...

They do good job with most of the others.

Okey, cool!

Do you think we'll get some DLC-news this coming week?

If they're going to launch it for season pass holders AND regular users in March, they gotta release it within 16 days from tomorrow.

I hope so... considering people think the Season Pass purchasers get it two weeks early. Though I do not remember reading that (memory could be fuzzy), I thought it was only for the pre-order of Battlefront with Jakku.

And the same nine hideous heads available for both sides aren't already awful?

Are there not several variations of the Stormtrooper armor?

Past surveys on this thread show a pretty fair split I think, and some people switch situationally.

I personally play first person only and still wreck shop :p

Whoah, well I am just going to have to jump in now. That emote tho!!!

I did not see any more in Best Buy when I was there the other day. I wanted to get it there for the 2x rewards points, but I will check Best Buy online and do that then. Thanks for the info.

Edit: It appears they are sold out online as well (and no way to check in-store). I will check the store again later since I have one close.

I used to go back and forth, and now I just stick to First Person, and seem to do way better in general. Then again, I am playing on a 23" AOC IPS monitor (and it looks glorious), so Third Person may be better when I get my 50"-55" TV soon (objects on the screen will be bigger).

Oh God... I hope this is true. I fucking need it to be true.

You and me both, but I am confident with these sources. It is a huge cash in, and Disney knows it.

Sadly it appears to be sold out online (Best Buy is probably out of codes), and it will not let me search in-store, bleh. I may just say F' it to the points, and just get it on PSN and maybe take advantage of the spend $100 get $15 back from Sony, lol. Would be more "rewards" from Sony technically.

Shot an airspeeder out of the air with a Cycler Rifle today. That gun is great now.

Now that is pretty sweet.

#TuskenEmote after, lol.

It is not a 'card DICE played'. This whole, 'gamer vs. the wicked dev' mentality shit has to stop. That is not how any of it works.

There are rules they have to follow with the license. Disney is strict with this shit, but they also do a good cohesive job compared to how it was before. This is not made up shit, licensing is no joke now, more than ever. I experienced that first hand working closely with Sony San Diego on getting the Stadiums and Uniforms up to snuff, with what you are allowed to get away with (which is practically nothing), and not get away with compared to 10 years ago with MLB/MLBPA. And whatever slipped through the cracks with his game, has been updated in patches (Heroes on certain map removals, etc). It is a constant back and forth emailing with your licensee representative and waiting on approvals and rejections, lol.

Mustafar was a useless planet after the events of EP3... so there is no reason to have it, nor does it look the same, at all. It has Lava? Well so doesn't planet Earth, and probably all planet for that matter. Sullust also has vast amounts of sulfuric areas/oaceans, and it is much more varied than the dark black and red planet. There was also no major battles there... yet. Again, Sullust has always been the Empire's haven for their Fleet Factories. It makes perfect sense, especially with the new book and direction Disney/LucasArts is taking.

There have been plenty of interviews with LucasArts and Disney themselves with how they are handling the license, I do suggest some light reading. It is really exciting stuff, and a great time to be alive for a Star Wars fan. Especially older vets.

My friend, I think you need to chill out a little bit -- nobody accused anybody of being wicked.

Your knowledge of IP law impresses me, you should teach it at university level....... like i do!

Again you completely missed my point about Mustafar x Sullust, but i'm not particularly interested pursuing a debate with you.

Maybe this will come in handy again, with all the speculating about new skins ;-)

Also:
DICE, if your reading this: Max Rebo band in the Outer Rim expansion, or I'm not buying the season pass!

Was getting caught part of your plan?
Speaking of turning point, Rebels seem to steam roll Twilight on Hoth a little too easily.

Likely has something to do with spawn points.

I am plenty chill, lol.

But people always accuse developers of being "convenient" as if they have this nefarious veil of what they want to do, when in development and first hand experience, it is nothing like that more often than not. My apologies if they was not your intent.

I am not speaking of law experience for IP's (nor would I ever comment on it), I am speaking of first hand development experience with dealing with licenses holders and licensees. I seen them reject things that legit are in the MLB or MLBPA which are two different licenses all together, as well as Cooperstown Collection, MiLB, etc. I was left scratching my head and baffled that they had to strictly follow the usually outdated and annoying Style Guides, when the on field players and teams since modified their own uniforms.

It made for unhappy die hard sports gamers, attacking devs and saying things like, "don't they watch baseball, are they blind", and they do not realize, yes, those guys at SCEA SD are passionate die hard sports/baseball fans. Some of the senior producers actually played in minor league level baseball, etc., they are just handcuffed with what they can and cannot do, depending on if they get an "ok go ahead", or a "no you cannot" email from their representative.

Knowing how Disney works with a friend who worked with Marvel, as well as years in Central Florida with family and friends who worked with Disney with licensing and other parts of the company, I am going to go out on a limb and say, it is not DICE picking and choosing and being ragtag.

Funny story, and you may know this since you know IP laws, I asked them how come so much stuff was included in the late 90's and early 2000's, and they said it was more Wild West and freedom back then, before laws changed, or companies decided to enforce them more. Sadly, the handcuffing is real, from my experience, but in some ways it is good. I would not want pink/neon guns or Stormtroopers with silly custom logos on them, etc..

i don't really love the idea of a bunch of different skinned players running around. i like stormtroopers (grunts) vs rebels (grunts). it has a classic kinda feel to it and gives each side a solid identity. i hope they don't mix it up too much. don't even really like the darktroopers tbh.

I know other people have mentioned it, but the lack of team balancing is killing my enjoyment of this game. There should be no higher priority for the DICE teams working on this game besides team balancing. In fact, it should have been in the first patch.

Other thoughts, most of which have also been mentioned before.

Pulse cannon needs additional nerf, possibly a small increase in shot charge time or an increase in card recharge, or both.

Barrage needs a small buff, it's too situational.

Scout pistol needs a buff. There is almost no reason to use it.

Homing shot needs the lock on time decreased again. I think something closer to the original time, but keeping the reduced turn radius, increasing speed slightly but still below original value, and nerfing damage to balance the two buffs above.

Cooling cell needs a small buff, I would suggest a longer active time.

Same for focus fire.

Bodyguard, sharp-shooter, and survivalist all need buffs.

All I want to see is a large variety of weapons that have their own strengths and weaknesses, but are all still viable when used situationally or based on play style. Right now there is little reason to use many of the cards above, which you see in the general population. I think DICE is generally improving in this regard as you see more weapons and cards being used by good players than in earlier patch levels, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

I mean, it might suck a bit, but it's relieving to not hear droves of Tusken cheers and UUUURRRRRRRRRRAAAAAGGUUUAAAAAHHHH at beginning of a match for a change.

I don't know as I've never played Battlefield, but it makes sense to me. Add me if you're on PS4, and that goes for anyone, really. PS ID same as GAF.

I think it is not there if the teammate quits, and greyed out if they are killed and have yet to spawn.
Yep, but sometimes it's mysteriously not available even when your partner is alive.

They introduced an annoying "in combat" prevents spawn limitation on battlefield 4 squad spawns, so I imagine that it is similar to that.

I can't believe they didn't fix the damn partner bug that has been happening to almost everyone. Randomly being unpartnered is annoying.

I think the Scout Pistol is ok as is, the problem is when you miss and have to wait for the weapon swap animation. I've actually hit 2 different guys in the same burst and had them turn on me. Luckily, they were both on 30% after the individual hits from the 2-round burst and were easy to finish off, but it was close. I've been considering running it instead of Cycler Rifle but just can't justify it. Although, if I could possibly bring myself to drop the Jump Pack, I could take both.... nah!

Bodyguard is really quite powerful. Its not just grenades that it protects you from but splash damage from AT-STs, fighters and and turrets as well. If I wasn't running Scout, I'd run Bodyguard.

I keep meaning to go back and give Survivalist another go. I can certainly see situations where it'd be a benefit because one of my worst traits (haha) is to pop out of cover too soon after taking damage.

Sharpshooter is just garbage. If I could more consistently get headshots with the Cycler Rifle I might consider it, but sometimes it really does feel like the 3rd person view has a slight offset when I see the headshot I had carefully lined up go flying past their ear...

I've actually played with you before in Walker Assault and we're not even friends on PSN, I just remembered you from this thread. lol

My PSN is my GAF name with no spaces.

That was kind of my point, scout pistol isn't really worth it. There's no situations where I'll put that card in because there is always something better to use. I agree, the delay in the weapon swap animation is one of the main reasons not to use it.

I also agree that of those three sucky trait cards, bodyguard is best, but it's not really needed now that homing shot got a needed nerf. The only reason I would use it would be to counter splash from fighters, everything else can be countered or avoided.

It's been in the game for awhile. I'm not sure about beta but it was in at launch. It's not just being under fire, as sometimes my partner is clear and I still can't spawn on them. Mabey its something like proximity to fire or an enemy.

This doesnt make any sense. You want one cheap ass Star Card nerfed, but the other one back to how it was...
Homing Shot is fine where it is now. You want to kill someone? Get closer to him or use the cheap Pulse Cannon...
