I'm yet to unlock the DL-44 but I still find myself primarily using the default Rebel Blaster and default Imperial Blaster.
Anytime I try anything else I seem to get wrecked.

Dunno if it's just my playstyle, lack of skill, or if the other weapons are too specialised to be useful often.

Would like to see some more weapons discussion and tips in here. I imagine the weapon you use also varies depending on the mode/map that you're playing. At the moment I'm mostly sticking to Blast.

I'm rocking the SE-14C until I get the DL-44 to see if I like it better. Been loving that burst little pistol but my playstyle doesn't revolve around me staying at the back too much, so I'm always further in the field midst the rebel scum and that's why I probably love it so much. Now that I think about it, I've seen so few people using it...

Answering my question from yesterday about Vita remote play for PS4/Vita owners - plays great!

They customized the controls so that only the left and right "special weapons" are on the back. Push down on the dpad to run and from touch for melee. and view change.

Not sure how people were done with this game after only 5 hours during the beta.

I've played about 5 hours and I only got through the tutorial missions and a handful of Supremacy matches. Feels like I've barely scratched the surface and am just now getting a good feel for how I should be handling weapons. I know, opinions and all...

I spent a good 2 hours TRYING to do the tutorials but man I am fighting the sensitivity in the vehicles lol...turn it way down and then when I am foot it's way to slow.

I will get used to it though. Hope they add a separate sensitivity setting for vehicles.

Oh I couldn't do the speeder bike tutorial. I don't think there's a tree I didn't hit over the course of 5 attempts.

This 2 day gap between the US and UK release is killing me. I've clearly been spoiled by all those global release dates so many other games have had recently.

Soon.

an hour was literally enough for me to go "nope". back to battlefield 4

I played this game all day yesterday with an unexpected, but totally legit, sick day. And...

I love it.

Although I am absolute gutter trash most of the time (with an embarrassing k/d to prove it), I am excelling at Fighter Squadron for some reason. It took the majority of the Beta before I felt like I was a legit competitor, so I'm hoping the shooting part eventually clicks with me again. But until then, fear my X-wing and Tie Interceptor prowess!

I have to say, Heroes Vs. Villains is where its at!! I also really enjoy Cargo, Walker Assault and Supremacy.

seriously this game is really, really fun.

Doesn't change my stance.

No argument from me. I was shocked when my console Battlefield player friend got a PC and, after a short period of adjustment, consistently placed in the top half of players using a controllers (often near the top).

I don't think any pad can match KBM's accuracy, but I think it's more important to just use the method you're most comfortable with. There are more variables that go into being successful than the control input/device.

How is the controller support on PC? Plug and play as it should be, or gimped like in Battlefield? Spare me the kb/m vs controller argument, I just want to know if the gamepad functions as it would on pc as it does on consoles.

how do so many people have the most powerful blaster already? was it an unlock in one of the more expensive versions of the game?

They really need to do something about getting stuck on ever fucking rock on the ground.

getting mgs5 flashbacks. there's just a lot of things that LOOK like you can jump or walk onto them but you cant since there is no mantle in this game. which makes the jetpack being locked to level 13 so dumb.

If any Gaffer wants to do the Survival Missions on Master feel free to add me on PS4. I could have sworn they said there would be matchmaking for Online Co-op. :/

2. Heroes vs Villains. I'm more into this mode less for the
proper use of
fan service and more because I absolutely adore elimination game modes, and this is a nice twist brining respawn mechanics into it. Playing with a squad is great, and I had a match where we had a draw 5 times and finish 5-4, very intense.

Was that late last night around 12:30 central time? I think I was in that game lol. I was on the Rebel side, really tense matches in there.

On release I could see players coming over to see what I was doing and wondering how to do it. Now no one cares so much :(

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
Did they change something in the flying since the beta, on PC with mouse? Because it feels fucking terrible now.

Does anyone know what the hell emotes those guys were using at the beginning? Is it something that's pre-order only? I don't see it in the emote unlock list...

I save emotes for when I or my team mates kill a hero/villain. They have to watch me dance as their death animation plays out.

I suck with Boba the most :( People keep saying he's the best but I'm just so free as him.

In H Vs. V, the trend is to hide at the highest point of the map with him. Some places, only Luke can reach.

So, he's kinda like a rodeo clown. Distract the bull until your teammates can bring him down.

With Fett:

  • Don't go to the front line: unlike Vader or Luke, you can't block/deflect any shots and your flamethrower is NOT a potent weapon (more on that later).
  • Stay ranged: Fett's blaster is burst-fire and if all bolts hit, it's basically a guaranteed kill. You can have a lot of success just staying back and "sniping."
  • Stay mobile and in the open: Fett was a little challenging for me at first, because I kept thinking LT would go to ADS, but of course, it's his jet pack. Use it as often as you can! Escape, get to better vantage points, etc. It's EXTREMELY useful and critical to surviving. DON'T get stuck in corridors, because you lose your biggest advantage. Finding a really good flank on a Rebel chokepoint=goldmine.
  • Use your rocket: Fett's rocket is basically the same as the RPG homing rocket--fire it near an enemy and it will auto-track them. Guaranteed kill!
  • Flamethrower is last resort/ambush tool, not a primary: The Flamethrower can do a lot of damage, but you have to be RIGHT on someone, and getting the flame "on" the opponent can be tricky. It CAN be really useful if you sneak up on a group of players, but be ready to escape/use your other weapons once they turn around.
