TCW was originally going to run parallel with ROTS so it would be great if Rebels could do so with RO. Maybe they could even go further and run alongside the original trilogy movies?

Filoni has talked about that before and how it would be interesting to see the Ghost crew during the war.

I still think that it would be necessary to have Kanan die and Ezra at least not be a Jedi though. And I think they need to have Leia tell Luke in the comics at some point that she had met a Jedi before, but that's just my nitpick.

Man, it'd be really cool to see Kanan and Ezra through away their Jedi identities in order to keep the crew together (like if the dark vs. light became too much of a struggle for them)

If one of them or both manage to live, I could see the endgame being that they choose to walk the middle path as Bendu does. Perhaps Ahsoka herself walked that path and her ambiguous fate has something to do with it?

I don't mind the break around now. Rogue One being out and it only being a month along with the primere being two episodes is fine with me. Feels really short.
Upcoming arc potential spoiler:

Upcoming visual guide reveals that Saw is involved in the upcoming Geonosis Arc.
After seeing Rogue One i'm hyped for this. Been wanting to see more of him (though I don't remember much of his TCW arc, might give that a rewatch sometime)

Holy shit. Dis is huge y'all. I was just talking about having like a way of really legitimizing Rebels for the movie-goers and whadya know?

Ask me about the GAF Notebook
I get the want for an episode too, but it's hard to get people to have a regular viewing schedule around the Holidays. That's beyond leaving breathing space for the movie.

Plus they are coming back soon after the new year begins.

I have more issue with shows that take the Holiday break off, but don't come back till like Jan 28th or some shit. It's like yo the holidays been over. Don't be a groupie keep it moving and release an episode already.

So the Ghost is in the battle at the end of Rogue One...and
when Vader arrives the rebel fleet is decimated. We do not see the ghost escape. Can it be assume the Ghost and it's crew is a causality? That would help explain why no Kanan or Ezra running around rebellion using sabers and the force...

I would love this. Especially if the series finale (whenever that is) shows it from the Ghost perspective.

I would hate this.
They've already done so much on this show that feels very unique to it. For them to die like that would be weak af, find a different route bc Kanan and crew deserve better

Awesome that they got
Forest to voice him

Gives me a bit more hope they might get Ewan afterall to voice Obi-Wan in Rebels.

I agree with this.
I'm all from showing it from their perspective, but having them die because of one scene in Rogue One would cheapen the show a bit for me.

Would be amazing.
I mean they pretty much HAVE to die right? Would love to see their perspective during Rogue One battle in Rebels.

Not everyone has to be on the ghost. It would be an interesting dynamic if it was maybe Hera and maybe some no name gunners for the attack run. Having someone critical to the team dynamic be removed could be very interesting.

What I want to see is the final Maul Oldbi-Wan Kenobi fight. But yeah, I was thinking of how dumb this is. I think by the time of RO, Kanan and Ezra are gone in some form. I'm hoping for some mutual destruction type thing where Ezra betrays Kanan and they both die fighting each other but who knows what will happen.

Hoping that next season we get a time skip into the galactic civil, or at least see more impact.

Also inowuosnt kind if next season we start to see more arc focused episodes with the rebellion plot line being told in arcs while the Jedi stuff shows up every once in a while.

I haven't seen Rouge One but we don't physically see any of the rebels cast in the movie do we?

Disney XD.

Not really a R1 spoiler but I'll tag it in case.

Chopper is shown for a hot second. Blink and you miss it.

There is also a small "easter egg" of:
An announcement made in teh background paging "General Syndulla"

Though there is a small chance this is referring to Cham and not Hera.

Star Wars can do this with a cartoon and Marvel can't even throw a Hell's Kitchen mention in the movies, smh.

And animation has waaaaaaay longer lead times than live action movies OR TV. Heck they even managed to (though they admitted some luck played a role) to have Fenn Rau get introduced in the Marvel comics AND on a Rebels episode ON THE SAME DAY.

Take some notes Marvel. You need yourselves an awesome Story Group.

A great example of #itsallconnected that I posted earlier in the spoiler thread(ROGUE ONE SPOILERS): http://m.imgur.com/eOGkLnZ?r

The problem with Marvel is that unlike Lucasfilm where everything is under one umbrella, with one corporate head and one in-house creative team, Marvel Pictures is an entirely separate entity from the rest of Marvel (which includes Marvel TV), and the rest of Marvel has various creative teams. It's far more difficult for Marvel to keep everything connected than it is for Lucasfilm.

After seeing Rogue One for the 2nd time it really got me thinking.

I think despite how I felt they have terribly handled her, Sabine is the only character in this series im absolutely against dying for any reason at any point.
her ending up alone around the time of ANH would be interesting to me.
Hera is #2

Episode descriptions for the episodes after the Geonosis special:

314: "Warhead":
Zeb and Chopper bring a damaged droid found in the Atollon wilderness back to base, only to discover that the droid is a new Imperial probe programmed to spy on and destroy rebels.

315: "Trials of the Darksaber":
To help recruit her people to join the rebels, Sabine reluctantly agrees to learn to wield an ancient Mandalorian weapon but finds the challenge more difficult than expected.

I started rewatching S1, man it is so much more enjoyable now that I actually enjoy these characters. The quality wasn't as good but man seeing characters in a different light that got completely washed over as the show made massive leaps.

Hera calling Kanan "Love" all the time isn't something I recall in a good while.
Zeb letting Ezra be taken by the Empire.
Sabine voting not to rescue him.
Kallus bragging about ordering the Ion guns to be used to kill Zeb's species.

Luminara episode reminds me they showed bring Shaak-ti into Rebels and give her a canon ending.

Edit: god damn Ahsoka saying to forget about captured Kanan,
How did I forget all this.
