With the Rogue One Visual Guide saying he's been Fulcrum at one point and Rebels being 2 years before Rogue One I definitely feel like it's a given.

Weird that the Captain was basically functional as
but then wasn't. Why not just go for it? Visually, she's exactly how I'd imagine her, (and in line with her comic appearances). And the rank was the same, she was all ambitious, etc. Are we SURE that wasn't her?

It's not, it's Captain Brunson. Sloane wouldn't be inexperienced since she had been made a captain almost a decade prior. She's probably close to becoming an admiral at this point.

Something that was pointed out on Rebelscum's forums is Sabine's jetpack isn't a typical Mandalorian pack we see.

Since I was like zero fucking years old I loved star wars and made up stories of my own with characters that were in the movies and video games for like a split second etc etc played.
Here goes my rant: WTF happened to Dash Rendar! They use his fucking ship and throw some fucking dweebs in there!!! No mention of him or anything, they just cut him from the whole universe... He's like Han's cooler cousin, they just said fuck you dude and Leebos bitch ass. The new kids will love these fuck boys we replaced y'all with

Yeah a bunch of people picked up on this. Makes me wonder if they'll ever bring her back, at least she got an appearance in the Kanan comics.
Last two episodes were pretty damn good, wish every episode was that good.
Also, I hope the rest of the seasons has some good Thrawn stuff. Having not read the book trilogy, the show has not done a good job showing me why people love him so much, it seems like so far he is being wasted.

What happened to Dash is what happened to the EU, it doesn't count. It's not his ship, it's the same model. Which Doug Chang has confirmed was created for the ANH SE before Licensing decided to use it in SotE.
But... Han's cooler cousin? Ehhhhh? Poor man's ultra 90s Han Solo. I mean, I get that you like him, but he's really not all that beloved. (To my great amusement, SotE, Dash in specific and lightsaber forms are the only things Pablo Hidalgo flat out states he hates in SW)
Well given that Sloane was a Captain and one of an actual Star Destroyer as of the Gorse incident, and that took place approximately nine years prior to where Rebels is at, if she were to still be a Captain AND now be in charge of a measly light cruiser, that would be quite the demotion. And would make the fact that she is an Admiral at Endor (approx six years from this point) even more implausible. So I figured it wouldn't be her.
I'd like to see her on Rebels, sure, but I gotta say, four novels in which she is a major character, three short story appearances (one of which is all her) and showing up in Kanan, she's doing pretty good for a non-movie character!

Yeah, I guess it can't be her. I bet she will show up eventually, though... she's originally a Kanan and Hera character anyway, since New Dawn was her first appearance. I hope they use her, she's a good character. To me, she provides a good opportunity to examine a "law and order", good intentions type of character who genuinely wants to help people and thinks that strong authority is the way to do it. As opposed to being an evil wizard like Palpatine and Vader, or a career/social climber, like Krennic and to an extent Tarkin. She's a different kind of Imperial boss from them, and in a way, she presents an opportunity to tell stories that mirror the real world.

Everything involving Shadows of the Empire is not canon. And Pablo Hidalgo one of the leading members at Lucasfilm managing the story group has publicly trashed Shadows of the Empire endlessly as one of the worst elements in the old EU and Dash in particular. He has mocked people for asking if anything from SotE would come back at all.
Dash...is never ever ever coming back. And good riddance he is a one dimensional xxxtreme 90s character. Don't let nostalgia cloud your vision. It has also been pointed out the embarrassingly offensive sexism in Shadows of the Empire as another element of why you won't see anything of it return to canon.

I was hoping that Ezra would snap and go full Sith when Saw pushed him to the ground. Tap into his Darth Maul mind-meld and pull out some force choke or lightning and surprise the shit out of everyone watching.
I loved seeing Sabine go into Mandalorian vertical assault mode. That was a great showcase of her courage, skill and combat ingenuity.
I like seeing how the Ghost has been influential on the overall SW plot, either directly or indirectly. At this point in the show they've had some pretty significant contributions or assists to the overall rebel effort.

Lucasfilm is pretty ashamed about SoTE. Dash is long gone.

Wait, Pablo doesn't like lightsaber forms? What the hell is wrong with lightsaber forms? It makes sense that there would be different variations on lightsaber combat over thousands of years.

Except that the droid is an entirely different type from K2. It's basically an IG unit with a protocol droid's shell.
We get the last laugh on that though because they're still canon.
In general he said he dislikes it when canon goes too far into minutiae. He also called out the power output of the Death Star and the Imperial Rank badges. He's wrong about the badges too though, consistency in your world building is good.

I'm with Pablo the minutiae is dumb..if it's not in the cartoons or films it's too much. I mean there are people claiming the stupid decision by Lucas to make Palpatine fry his face with his own lighting can be retconed into some stupid sith force mask bull shit: enough is enough. It's clear by the way that Palpatine was supposed to slowly decay if you look at him in Episode 1 vs 2 then his miraculous youth in 3.

I have really warmed up to Sabine's S3 design, initially it was my least favorite.
Ezra too, his hair looked really weird at firt but it is definitely growing on me
(especially after seeing those designs in a more realistic style of the mobile game.)
Episode was good, despite what most people consider filler.
Nice to see Zeb with more screentime.
