Well that was the single best episode of Rebels by a decent margin.
Theres always a big difference in quality when Filoni writes an episode.Well that was the single best episode of Rebels by a decent margin.
The next act is them going to mandalore. Its airs feb 18 I believe.Damn fine episode, though I feel like it could've used one more act. Still, much better than the last pointless, filler episode. No surprise it was written by Filoni, he actually gives a damn about the characters.

I wanna believe the "positions" Kanan was putting Ezra & Sabine through were the same ones Ben Kenobi was talking about in the Star Wars Radio Drama.
I mean, I doubt it, but I wanna believe.
Pre Vizsla approves.

Is this the same dude that directed Iron Man and Jungle Book?

Im amazed a single episode bumped Sabine from last place to 2nd as far as most interesting character.
She was always the coolest but it was the Boba/Phasma effect.
Yes, and was also Tony's assistant in all 3 IM movies.

Agreed, it felt like there was a scene missing in which Bendu helps Sabine understand Kanan's teaching methods. Still, considering it was the best episode since the season 2 finale I'm more than happy with what we got.Well yeah, I meant the acts within that episode. Basically, I thought they should have extended the time she went out by herself to think. It was a bit too short, imo. Still, great episode.
The writing in the episode was just about as good as it gets. Filoni didn't pull any punches.

Dave said he took the unusual step of recording dialogue before animation, to capture the performances better.
It's all connected.Knights of [Sabine W]ren
It's all right there
Since when is this unusual? The writing in the episode was just about as good as it gets. Filoni didn't pull any punches.

If you watch he says it's unusual for him. They usually record dialogue after animation.
That is an incredibly bad idea and sounds like a nightmare, I wonder if he was just referring to layouts or misspoke. Any site detail the typical creation of an episode? If you watch he says it's unusual for him. They usually record dialogue after animation.

All hail Sabine future Queen of Mandalore!
What a great episode, definitely one of the best.
Also, I have a lurking suspicion that they are going to reveal Sabine to be force sensitive and she's going to be some sort of Mandalorian-Jedi hybrid.
Also, are we just ignoring the possible KOTOR reference in this episode?
A hybrid? Jedi is a religious order isn't it? So you can be born force sensitive but how that is used depends on the person.
The episode was great. It'd be great if Sabine was found to be force sensitive but you'd think Kanan would have noticed her force sensitivity right away as he's been with her longer then he had with Ezra.
I think she'll get more proficient with the darksaber and get a elevated level awareness of the force but I doubt she'll be a Jedi anytime soon.
Maybe Filoni was referring to animatics?
That would make a lot more sense.Maybe Filoni was referring to animatics?
