After The Force Awakens, I was afraid Lucasfilm were going to follow the Marvel approach to cinematography, but I'm glad to see that's not the case. Some of the shots here are quite lovely.
Probably just to give a similar aesthetic to that era of the Star Wars-verse. I don't see her getting aDoes that platform she's walking on look familiar to anyone else?
Dare I say the cinematography is miles ahead in this than The Force Awakens.
please enlighten me
Also I wonder if this movie is in jeopardy still with rumours of the re-shoots
TFA had fantastic cinematography.
Yeah it's almost as though we've seen this setting before. That big battlestation looks awfully familiar. And what's with all those triangle ships?
Indeed.TFA had fantastic cinematography.
New scenes look good and I have decided to accept blind kung fu master in space.
TFA had fantastic cinematography.
I'm expecting him to do that, but at the very end. Krennic's gonna be the threat for most of the movie, than Vader usurps him right at the very end.
Or alternatively, we see the beginning of Vader's attack on the Tantive IV at the beginning of A New Hope.
I'm in purely for cool shots of Star Destroyers.
Yes, it's a B1X-A repulsor bridge that is used to work on large scale construction projects sort of like the commonplace scaffolding we see today.
"chance to make a real difference" has to be the most overused trailer line by now, and some of the dialogue was a little awkward but overall I think Edwards is giving us better characters than in Godzilla
I'm onboard
So the planet at the beginning...are we all agreeing that was Naboo?

Better everything than Godzilla I hope.

You know what would be good? A Star Wars movie akin to Master and Commander. A lone Star Destroyer and it's crew hunting for rebel ships.
The Adventures of ISD Chimaera
This shit got me so hyped.
Even if I could get a book or game about this concept, I'd be in heaven. You know what would be good? A Star Wars movie akin to Master and Commander. A lone Star Destroyer and it's crew hunting for rebel ships.

TFA had fantastic cinematography.
Two things Star Wars has never ever been.Im just really not feeling these Disney Star Wars films. It all comes across as safe and boring.
I hope this movie ends with him literally slaughtering everyone save for whomever escapes with the plans lol
TFA was lovely in every sense. Great cinematography.
Oh yeah, that's the stuff. But hell, to each his own.
But hell, to each his own.
Really curious to see how VIII will look.
Godzilla was great.

I think I'll watch it again.
DisneyBoring, safe, cookie-cutter, unoriginal, add more message board key words/phrases
Out of context scenes make the dialogue look awkward.I'm biased cus I'm a huge Star Wars fan but I dunno how anyone can watch that trailer and not think it looks great.
