I think what PG means has changed a lot though. When the original movies came out, you had G, PG, and R. Nowadays, PG has essentially replaced G. (Seriously, there are sometimes less than 5 G rated films a year) and PG-13 has replaced the old PG. I can't see this getting a PG. Even if there's not a lot of blood or swearing, the battles as portrayed in the trailer seem a lot more visceral than the old films.
I hope it happens, as Hayden is really good in everything else I've seen him in, and it would be nice for him to get another shot under better writing and direction. Also love watching prequel haters squirm so that's another plus.
The previous teasers and the trailer already suggest it won't be like that - seems more like they've tried to emulate the style of the OT cinematography but using up to date special effects etc. Looks fantastic.
Would be pretty cool if he plays an alien race.
Looks so awesome. I can't help but wonder going from these scenes from the teasers and trailer if Dice were told that in atmosphere dogfights would be the big thing in Force Awakens which is why that is what they have concentrated on instead of space battles for Battlefront.
That is an oddly descriptive piece of speculation.
Very cool
Great trailer but leaving Luke out of all promo material this late in the game is just stupid.
Them Seven Samurai vibes.
I have never seen a magazine stand in a movie theater. Are you going to go somewhere and find one just to knock it over? There is nothing that would make me leave the movie.
Me too, just for thrill of seeing the war on peoples faces when it happens.
"I SAID ON THE INTERNET I WOULD GET UP AND LEAVE WHAT IF SOMEONE REALIZES IT WAS ME I CAN'T LEAVE THIS IS TOO AMAZING FUUUUCCCKKKK"
i live for that shit
The story does seem like it's pure set up for sequels

Ah cool thanks. Missed that before. She's in the poster.
Honestly, I wouldn't mind Luke dying if he went out on a peaceful note. Like, him "sleeping for the last time" as the sun sets in Tatooine. After what he's done in the OT, I think he deserves to go out on a note like that, rather than being killed off to hype up the new villain or whatever.
The story they haven't said even a word of so far?
You weren't being subtle or smart.

So, as someone who has never seen any SW movie: what is the best way to get into the series? Which movies to watch and in what order?

I see what you did there JJ
Anyone else planning on seeing it a week or two after premier for better seats? Planning on watching on a weekday.
I don't like what it hints at. Not at all. I'll be bawling like a baby if that happens.

Me
Opening days are going to be rowdy as fuck in cinemas. Whilst that's adds a little atmosphere, I plan on seeing it between Christmas and new year with my seven year old daughter in good seats and a bit less frenzied setting

Welp. I thought I was hyped before, but now I can barely contain it. HYPE.

I still think Rey is the Jedi.
Finn is going to fight Ren, get his ass kicked and be saved by Rey and some fluke of force power.

If you want the traditional way, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3.
If you want the story order, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.
Ignore people who tell you to write off the prequels forever. Watch them if you want and make up your own mind.
I would also suggest watching The Clone Wars, which is a canon animated series that takes place between Episodes II and III. Also Rebels, which is also canon and takes place between III and IV, although that's still ongoing.
