Rogue One will the GOAT Star Wars movie anyway.
It is known.

Wonder why they picked Rogue One before doing the Han Solo or Boba Fett movie. The Solo and Fett movie would have been better to establish the anthology movies.

Rogue One is looking awesome, though. Hopefully it delivers.

Felicity Jones, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen, and Forest Whitaker in the same movie?

Yeah, I'd say so.

Mads in it? Goddamn.

I'm glad Diego Luna is in it, I love that guy.

I'm going radio silent too. Not taking any chances!

Thankfully I've taken my sweet time reading Aftermath, and haven't even started on Lost Stars, not to mention the short stories and novellas. Have a lot of Star Wars-y things to keep me occupied in the meantime.

I liked MI3, Super 8, and both Trek movies

I really have no doubt I won't be disappointed

All good films. Super 8 needed some more script revisions and while ST is good they were written by well Kurtzman and Orci. But in terms of directing actors, cinematography and vision, Abrams has it down pretty well.

Yea, that suit looks awful.

That random glove on one hand? Finn gets his hand chopped off confirmed?

This cast? I fuck with it.

Rogue One works as an introduction to the Anthology/Stories series since it doesn't have direct ties to either Prequel and Original trilogies, and can work in favour of both Han Solo and Boba Fett movies by easing audiences into each movie. The Han Solo movie is going to be under scrutiny by everyone specifically, and they're taking their time with it.

Can someone confirm how long ago they went in at the premiere to watch the movie? Even roughly, I want to see the non spoiler reaction tweets from the Jedi Council gang but I also need to sleep :(

Hey man, fellow Collider fan here.

I believe the movie went on between 7 and 7:30 pt.
right now it's 8:50 there, so they are either at the end or beginning of the third act.

Expect tweets in the next hour

Just rewatched ANH and when Vader said "there will be no one to stop us this time" I'm like ohhhh (in regards to Rogue One) so yeah I'm silly hyped for that too.

I think I'll be good for avoiding spoilers on here for the most part, it's some random jackass at the theater I'm worried about on my way in blurting something out, either trolling or off handed conversation with buddies. Maybe I should walk in with earbuds on lol.

Yep. This worries me the most. Walking into the last Matrix movie had some dumbass teenager, walking out, excitedly and loudly talking to his friends about "I can't believe Neo died!!!" Why did that happen???"
I just yelled out "DUDE REALLY? THE FUCKS YOUR PROBLEM?" And got a dejected 'sorry' out of him. After that, seriously considering putting something in my ears.
And social media cord is officially cut until Sunday. I know for a fact that I have idiots who spoil TV like Walking Dead, incessantly on a few of them.

*shrug* I loved it, despite acknowledging some script problems but IMO they're pretty minor considering who wrote it. But it's a very slick action movie.

It had problems all over the place, but I still feel like it was a FUN movie. I came out of it having enjoyed myself.

This is how I feel. When you break it down it has issues but it was a great ride.

Blows my mind that so many people legitimately dont get enjoyment out of it.

I have been getting more and more hyped for Rogue One in the weeks leading up to TFA. It's going to be the Star Wars prequel we always wanted..

....I don't think I even want to see reactions. Worried about them de-railing my hype.

Those reactions will be so emotionally charged and influenced by the atmosphere of the premiere that they wont possibly be bad. The movie could be two hours of Abrams taking a dump and they'd love it.

If the reactions actually are muted or bad then consider it a positive that you were warned before seeing the movie because that will mean something went horribly wrong

I love that film ):
It was a blast to watch when I saw it in theaters. Didn't get into the first Trek film as much and I barely remember it compared to Into Darkness. Plus, Cumberbatch was awesome.

It's my third favorite Trek flick. Good film. Almost as rewatchable as 09. Cumberbatch nails it, dammit. I don't care.

Saw it seven times in theaters. (Not my original plan, I assure you. Just kept getting asked to go with friends.)
