Even if it's bad, people will say it was good out of pure social pressure. I won't believe it until I see it myself.

At this point it's the leaks I'm afraid of.

Jedi has always been my second-favorite of the OT films (Empire first, naturally). I love ANH for its significance and nostalgic 70s sci-fi aesthetic, but to me it's clearly the weakest of the first 3 movies, and aged the worst.

I agree with this. I don't know if it's just because I'm older now but my most recent viewing of the OT I realized just how much production value shot through the roof with Empire and Jedi

I am seeing this in IMAX on Thursday, potentially a regular theater on Friday, and in IMAX again on Sunday. The hype is real. 0.0

My little brother, who is 15,got me and my other brother 3 tickets to see the movie together on the 26th. He's so excited and it just brought a feeling of pure joy over me. That is what Star Wars does to people.

Got to grab dinner first, thinking Panda Express or Texas Roadhouse since both are in the theater parking lot :D Yay reserved seating!!!

Good call on dinner. :lol

I'll probably grab something in the way. Or ask a friend to get me something to eat while we're lined up.

Doing the same....All I hope for is a good seat that isn't in the very front. Some how I always get those seats at showings like this. Luckily I work only 5 minutes from theater.

I'm about a half hour away from work to the theatre. I'd have a little over two hours to wait.

Just talked to my contact inside the theater. Movie is over. Reaction was VERY positive she said. Crowd loved it! #TheForceAwakens

ROTJ is unfortunately quite poorly written and directed. Pacing is really bad. The opening segment has some cool ideas like the Sarlacc pit, but it's staging lets it down. The Dagobah section feels pointless; Luke visits just to see Yoda die. Speeder bikes are cool, but again, not that exciting to actually watch. The Ewok scenes cemented the incompetence of the Empire for all time. And the less said about the 'twins' twist, the better.

The one thing the movie really has going for it is the savagery of Luke vs Vader. Beyond that, it's mostly notable for being an immense anticlimax. Empire raised the stakes and made the world feel truly dangerous. Jedi proceeds to scrub away the weight and darkness it had established. Resolutions come too easy, and the characters have a forced chumminess to their interactions. Even Vader looks a bit cuddly under the mask.

Crazy to think people have just seen this. It still feels like a couple months ago we saw the first image of them at the roundtable reading.

Rest easy: #TheForceAwakens is 100% #StarWars, and something new. Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac: welcome.
