BioWare has begun contacting big WoW guilds. They email the guild leader and tell them to get their guild to all register for the beta and do system scans, then email the guild leader with their account name. The guild leader then emails BioWare a master list of all members who have done that. Looks like they're going to be mass-inviting guilds to beta very soon.

It's not just big WoW guilds. The big (and active) SWTOR guilds on the official forums are getting invites too.

It's gonna be soon. Can't wait.

What counts as active? GAF is probably one of the larger guilds but all of our discussion takes place here. But Bioware does monitor this thread...

I dunno man, but I just sent my info in and the only guild I'm currently a member of is for SWTOR.

My guess would be a guild with a website and who posts often on their message board.

GAF could be an exception though...

Do they have a list of guilds ? I'm wondering how big GAF's guild is compared to others.

Edit: To be clear I am just surprised so many guilds have over a hundred already.

You're really not helping our propaganda efforts, you know that ?

But in the case of SWTOR, I think it will be an exception. Usually the guilds disband when a game looses momentum or popularity.
