Episode 1 was terrible and very boring, to the exception of the Darth Maul fight. Episode 2 and 3 were significantly better, though far from the quality set by the original trilogy.
But episodes 7-9were dog shit. A complete disgrace to the franchise.

Yeah sadly this (my former favorite) franchise is just done. Half a decade ago I'd have been annoyed, now? Really doesn't phase me at all. Haven't "consumed" any Star Wars in years, to illustrate how much of a super fan I used to be... I can recite the lines of the original trilogy from memory.

1-3 were bad. 7 was better than the prequels but only just. 8 and 9 completely killed the franchise for me. 8 completely shat on luke's character and 9 well, my god what a steaming turd that was.

If the movie is 10 minutes long and is just luke waking up the night after the death star explodes and every film and show made aftr 1983 has just been a fucked up fever dream he had from ewok food....i would pay to see it.

Disneys made nothing but ass discharge but not gonna pretend that 1-3 wasnt also horrible terribly written , contrived trash which shit on the legacy and magic of the original. The moment you fucked up episode 1 you fucked up everything after....its basically 3 gold bars sitting on a stack of soggy cardboard. When you make the base garbage, everything that comes after forever has to balance on that. And now disney went and shoveled piles of shit on top of that.
Ep 4-6 is cannon....the only other cannon stories are whats in my mind based off of whats talked about in those non special edition stories. The movies created by Lucas............... Marcia Lucas.

I agree Luke was shat on. But Anakin/Darth Vader was played by such a douche. Hayden made me want to gag. That was deflating to watch.

Terrible actor.......For what should have been the biggest role in cinema at the time. They also cast the kid in episode 1 way too young, he should have been lukes age.
I mean they should write themselves, it should be basically eps 4-6 but with evil luke. How do you fuck that up? lol

Thing is then you just end up with what could be any old shit space opera. I'd prefer a knights of the old republic era take.
But agreed on the current stuff is so far gone they need a clean slate.
