NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Man, I lost her too :'(

Another tip when it comes to outposts and resources: You'll only get them if you're able to pay the upkeep, from the top of my head it's one materials resource per in-game day.

So if you have enough materials in stock, you'll get 3 resources from each outpost. You can check how much your upkeep is in the notebook.

I've been stuck at 11 survivors forever (RIP Marcus). How do I get more people to join me? I just need one more to move my base to the warehouse.

Couldn´t finish the mission where I have to defend the farmhouse in order to get the doc.

Zombies were stuck below the deck and were hammering on the windows. I couldn´t get to them / beat them .. :-/

Force quit the game, and will try again.

Holy shit, this game + Spotify is even better.

I use the xbox one audio through the T.V and Spotify on the PS4 via optical to the sound system with the bass.

Makes me feel like I found an MP3 player scavenging in the post apocalypse State of Decay world.

What solution do you guys use for AA in this game? It won't let me go further than 1080p, even with DSR.

Also, nobody tried SweetFX/ReShade in this?

Man I'm having a lot of fun with this game. I've been playing a decent mix of vanilla and Breakdown, and it's just a blast. I love how you can be playing and things are going great (building a community, finding great supplies, driving fast cars) but it can all go to shit in seconds. Like this situation, where one of my runners died right next to me as I was trying to save him

Oh man, i love this game. But i put about 80 hours and 100% achievments on the vanilla version plus DLC on PC. Its worth the upgrade?
Since on pc i already played in 1080P and 60 fps.... anyone in a simillar situation to me did the jump?

It probably isn't. The performance will be better, but for the most part it's the same game with a couple new mechanics like vehicle storage.

Vehicle storage as in the mechanic added on lifeline that allows itens to be stored on the trunk of cars? If so, they updated it onto the vanila version across the 3 dlcs.
Why they didint make the update free for vanila plus dlc owners then? i guess is a console situation mostly then....

^^ I love the addition of vehicle storage. Has helped a lot.

I have a ton of resources following the resource hints above too. I've never done so well in this game resources wise!

Here are some kill gifs for fun.

Man, that might actually be worse than dying yourself. Especially him yelling out, "Oh God, don't let me die!"

Breakdown level 4 is starting to get rough. Silencers are becoming hard to come by and homemade ones take 30 mins to make 2 which are used quite fast in the face of the hordes of zombies that can seemingly come out of nowhere at times.

One time I turned around the corner and saw maybe 1 or 2 zombies so I approached and it turned out to be about 10 zombies all occupying the same space... lol. There are a bunch of weird glitches like that that can make the game interesting to say the least. Sometimes headless zombies aren't dead and even once I had legless zombies get back up on their "feet" and start floating.

This budget game is putting a lot of the triple A games I have played in 2014 and so far this year to shame.

Totally agree. Wish I had jumped on this train earlier.

Interesting. So all outpost can pay out three resources? Does that make the whole rucksack discussion irrelevant?

Ouch, level 5 breakdown is quite dangerous lands indeed.

You can't even see half the zombies in that shot btw. That is not a horde. That is the rush of zombies that responded to gunshots since I had to kill 2 feral zombies and had no suppressors. And that is the beginning of level 5, as in I just had begun the level and just ventured out for the first time. I'm standing on a tower and there are zombies surrounding the base as well. And a few moments later, even more zombies filled that area with a horde or two. And you probably cannot tell (took with phone camera off screen) but there are an abundance of special zombies.

I'm not sure by what you mean rucksack discussion, but outposts can only deliver up to 3 resources per day. And you can have only as many outposts as your home supports. I think it works wonders to help you to stop losing supplies over time, which is why the whole time advancing while not playing isn't so punishing. But you'll still want to gather your own resources to accumulate excess to build things, get influence, etc. since waiting days to get a small portion of the resources would take forever.

Ya breakdown is great it makes you completely change your method of play.

In a nutshell (from earlier int the thread), the rucksacks in a building indicate what resources it will supply as an outpost. If a building has multiple rucksacks, you can dictate what resource it'll provide by taking the rucksack of an unwanted resources prior to establishing the outpost.

However, if an outpost can produce three resources, then manipulating the output probably isn't worth the effort most of the time.

I assumed he meant that an if you setup an outpost that generates ammo, it will add 3 ammo to your home base stockpile per day. 1 type, but 3 in quantity.

Anyone know why I can't upgrade at the cheaper price?

I own the normal version on Steam and had the old 360 version so why can't I get the price reduction for the Xbox one version?

At checkout I still have to pay £19.99

I might have to come back to this. Played the original for a few hours and came back to it 4 weeks later and a lot of people were dead. It basically forces you to play it consistently so I'm going to need to start over.

It's a pretty great game but I'll always feel co-op would've made it a hell of a lot better. Will pick this up when it inevitably drops to the price of a coffee on Steam. Hope everyone who's playing it for the first time enjoys it.

The game is janky, controls are very unresponsive (sometimes they won't even register), cars handle like shit and yet the game is so much fun. It says a lot about the premise. A game like this with a AAA budget could be GOAT.

Also, game is hard. The mission that I had to defend the old farmhouse was super tense.

I just triggered a mission to look for a new house. Do Ir really have to? The church seems safe enough since I've upgraded it and made a bunch of outposts around it.

People on PC are using a controller or keyboard and mouse? I'm going with K&M for aiming, since the analog stick aiming in this game is kind of shit.

Crap, I am about to do that mission and I think there are Home bases with more slots than the Church, that's why it would be wise to move it eventually.

fucking hell. lost Sasquatch in the Lifeline DLC. hes a main character with own series of missions. got torn in half by one of those big fat guys. now i cant complete them. im so fucking furious at the game right now.

i love this game.

LOL I know the feels. Had the exact same thing happen on my PC playthrough and now I know I will have to "support" him better if I want those 'cheevos...

Isn't that the discounted price? Not sure about the European prices but in the US it's $30 for new players and $20 for returning ones.

So do you only have the knife if you don't have a melee weapon equipped? When I first heard about it I thought the knife would be in place of the y button kicks/pushes but that's obviously not the case.

It's only when you don't have a melee weapon equipped. In the original version of the game, all you could do without a weapon was kick (and maybe shove?).

Lifeline never fails to crack me up when I'm playing through it.

"YOU get a grenade launcher! And YOU get a grenade launcher! EVERYBODY gets a grenade launcher!"

Are you guys tempted to cheat in this game? Like quitting the game if a character you like is about to die?

No, perma death is something I love and makes me play differently than most games.

The only thing I might do is get the PC version if some good mods come out. (want more slots in my home base!)

No, but no matter how far I am into the game, I've been severely tempted to restart the whole bloody thing.

RIP Marcus, it was supposed to be an easy mission :(

Edit: If you're wondering why I have a silencer on the side, it was because I ran out of snacks and health and I was frantically searching to see if I had anything else. What you're seeing is the end result. All hell broke loose outside the house about a minute before and this was me trying to get the survivors to lend a hand in the fighting.

I'm about near the end of level 5 breakdown. Shit has been pretty tough. I actually lost people this time around. I went woefully unprepared into an infestation, even with 3 people... and in a bad spot and all 3 died. I almost got away myself but there was a feral zombie on my way in retreat. First time I had people die, let alone my own character.

Just a small tip, when you've got a feral or juggernaut after you, if you get downed by an attack that does permanent health damage you get automatically killed regardless of how much permanent health damage you've taken. If you got downed by a regular zombie, you get that jam a button sequence to get back up. But if a feral zombie jumps on you, or a juggernaut gets a bite, you die.

It always catches me off guard. Those ferals and juggernauts terrify me at times when I get caught in unfortunate circumstances. I don't have a problem with them one on one. Here's me in Lifeline where I came out on top after I thought I may be screwed:

No. In some games it may feel ok but this game is all about resources including human life and not actually about the specific people making it through. its about the story and the story isn't good if there is no danger

I'm trying to get the 'home on the grange' achievement and read that if you tell quentin about becca you can still get the achievement as the quest continues late in the game. I only have a few missions left and haven't got the side mission to complete their quest line. Anybody know whats up?
