Fuck the water parts.

We are pleased to announce that Zeboyd Games has already made more revenue in less than a week on Steam than we have in over a year and a half on the XBox Live Indie Games service.

There a was a terrific water platforming point in the finale of the game. I really enjoyed the water stuff in general, but damn that part was good/clever.Htown said:Haha, you're boned. The whole game is water parts.
I liked the water mechanics myself.
nexen said:Dungeons of Dredmore is pretty great. It's a graphical roguelike with a touch of the humor from Zork with Monkey Island inspirations. Definitely worth $5. I can see losing a lot of time to it.
nexen said:thing that is bothering me though - isn't the intro music the Pirates of the Carribean theme? I have a terrible ear for this but damn it seems extremely similar.
I got to the part where you meet the djinn after the falling down circular stairs in about 6 hours. AFAIK theres only like maybe 3-4 levels after that.Htown said:Haha, you're boned. The whole game is water parts.

Try the demo first, the controls and physics are terrible, which pretty much makes or breaks a platform game.GhostRidah said:Anyone get Tobe's Vertical Adventure yet? Thinking about buying it to play with the gf, does the 360 controller work with it?

Speaking of which, I don't follow why the store page even lists it as an MMO. I wouldn't exactly call 16v16 massive.

The water freezing lead to some truly bonerific platforming sections.

They didn't seem that hard to me. I never felt like I messed up that much.Gvaz said:How do you people think the water sections are anything other than frustrating? :\
I find it hard, after doing them for a while I just want normal parkour shit
Riddick is top-tier, play that next. Make sure you start with Butcher Bay of course.Gvaz said:I've also never beaten a prince of persia game ever, though I own them all. This is probably going to be my first prince of persia game, prolly gonna finish today then move on to ass creed 1 or Riddick.
Why would anyone trade a 4.50$ game for a game that is currently 3.75?Baha said:Anybody here interested in trading Dungeon of Dredmor for a Lara Croft GOL code? It's steamworks.

If persistence is the defining attribute of any game, then I'd call it an MMO. A lot of games have persistent elements but I don't think you could say the defining attribute of TF2/BC2 is persistence, and gaining 'XP'. Just from the FAQ page, War Inc. has "character development" and some sort of LoL-esque currency system for buying gear.jediyoshi said:I mean if having persistence is the defining attribute to something being an MMO outside of player counts, then I'd disagree on the basis that it'd be silly calling TF2/BC2 MMOs following the same logic.

Baha said:Looks to be a permanent price drop. Though both map packs cost the same amount so yeah...
They're completely separate purchases. It's just that the add to cart button is only for The Ball. If you click on the image, it takes you to the page where you can add both.svegis said:Regarding the double daily deal of Dwarfs?! and The Ball, I tried adding both to my cart using add to cart on the front page, but only The Ball gets added then. Doesn't seem to change the price however, so if you want them both and miss out on one at your purchase you can make another transaction. Kind of weird though, seeing as it's labeled "summer tripwire" I'd kind of expect a pack.

Lara Croft is incredible in co-op and currently $3.75 if you look over the last page or two here.GhostRidah said:Anyone with some good suggestions for a local co-op game? Last great co-op I played was Jamestown.
I enjoyed The Ball at $5. I kinda felt that it dragged on a bit near the end (and there's only 9-10 levels iirc) and the color scheme REALLY gets old (brown + glowing color) but there are some decent puzzles. It definitely lends itself to playing in bits (play a level, quit).PaulLFC said:From the banner on the front page I thought the daily deal was both Dwarfs and The Ball for £3.75 at first.
Buying Dwarfs, how is The Ball? Downloading the demo but any impressions would be great.
