Is it IP-restricted? I'm in the UK, and none of the posted codes have worked for me before.

You're right. Last night I was logged into my VPN when I used a code. When I'm not on my VPN, the code is expired.

^ That could very well be. I'm in Germany, but I'm mainly using a US account (and getting screwed by all the region restrictions, but wth...).

Try this one: 8DFE4F43CBEAD0DB7B8AADFC6BF06D7C
Never did this before, so it might just work, I guess?

Nope, that is expired too. I am just in the US, not using a VPN or anything.

I'm in Canada. Worked for me before but doesn't work for me today.

I'll try the one above in a second.

I'm so in need of the infamous Summer Sale. Hope it brings Some games I've never saw on sale like Last Remnant, for example.

Square put Last Remnant on a really deep discount once, and I think it sold so well I think they realized they could make more money for it and the sales since have been pretty wimpy.

Last Remnant was $10 the first time it was on sale I think.

Right, and $20 ever since when on sale (I think).

So, the Summer Sale is beginning when? I've heard a lot of different things.

I have no idea but if I had to guess it would be this Monday. What say you people who can see into the Steam registry?

I hope New Vegas DLC goes on sale. Price for them now seems a bit too much, if I were to buy them I would have spent more on the DLC than the game itself.

Has New Vegas DLC ever gone on sale? I don't remember ever seeing it.

I said the same thing. Got it off the D2D sale for 10.63 i think.

Is anyone else having these weird glitches with steam in grid view?

Same here man, now I know this is the stream thread but I would love it if someone had a D2D friend referral code generator for people inside EU.

Much love.

You can try this one if you want.

No summer sale next week. You heard it here first.

I'm with you actually. Then again, that Star Wars Complete pack going in the registry is a sign of something.

Built my new PC on Thursday, GTX 570 will be here Monday. There literally couldn't be a better day than Monday for this thing to start for me.

I'll be buying The Witcher 2 that day with or without a sale, though.

(Also really bummed I missed that Lara Croft sale, but I did pick up Just Cause 2.)

D2drive is running a 2k sale right now and civ5 is around 30 with the 15% off codes go!

Thanks for the tip! The promo code linked to below didn't work, but it was around $30, so I sprang anyway. Downloading now.

Another reminder, Just Cause 2 is on sale for $5 at Gamers Gate and can be redeemed on Steam. I just bought it, I heard a lot of good things so I'm expecting something great.

D'oh, definitely would have bought if for that. LocoMrPollock, thanks for the tip, I will do that.

Hey man, D2D is having a 2K sale and Civ 5 is steamworks so the game can be had for £16 :)

Quite tempted, but I'd like to play it with a pad. Are there any solid drivers for the DS3 to make it work on windows yet?

Motionjoy. You can even play wirelessly if you have a supported BT dongle.

Aw geez, the daily deal is San Andreas for $3.75.

That's pretty tempting. I've heard many a good thing about it...

Edit: Ugh...couldn't pass it up. I'm weak. :(

You know, I have owned Civilization IV for a while now. At first I was lost, and didn't know what to do, and still have things to learn, but it is incredibly fun. Somehow I managed to become the number one nation, but those damn French are an annoying bunch, requesting tributes and crap.

I feel I'm barely scratching the surface, and still haven't downloaded Beyond The Sword. If Civilization V is as good as this, I'm sold.

Edit: Best GTA by far. I'd get it, but it is not available in my region.... Do mods work with the Steam version?

Download Beyond the Sword now.

There's no reason to play through Vanilla Civ4 and through the expansions seperately. Just download and play BtS.

the only time i was able to checkout with d2d (im in UK) was when i was behind a VPN and paid with a prepaid mastercard from neteller - its a virtual card you fire up and has 0 fees.
i think the main thing is you dont need to have an address associated with it, so i entered a random one in washington and boom

it also worked on steam for me as well when paypal kept failing for both steam and d2d

Mods work. Civ 5 is different, but still fun. There's definitely some improvements (hexes, most of the combat), but some it lost some of the complexity that Civ 4 had (corporations, religions, for example)

Personally, I've only played Civ 5 recently, but I enjoy them both. Catch Civ 5 if it goes on sale anywhere as the game is Steamworks.

I want to get san andreas but I heard the gamepad controls are terrible. Like half of the controls just don't work.

But...it's san andreas, the last great gta. Choices ugh.

I think I've sunk at least 300 hours fucking around in San Andreas... It does nothing particularly well, but all the stuff it does together, and especially having an open world with such varied environment...

I want another one...

Sorry if this has already been mentioned (the touchpad on my laptop is utterly fucked), but have any other Aussies noticed that Squeenix have slapped the Aussie Tax on Deus Ex: HR?

Up until yesterday it was identical to the US price, but now the base price of the regular edition is USD$70 and the augmented edition USD$80.

Are there any good mods for GTA:SA?
You can literally mod EVERYTHING in GTA:SA. From individual cars to new cities to the SA MMO. I'm sure something meets your definition of good if you hunt around.

Everything except the triggers work on the 360 pad, and if you really want those, they can be easily emulated with xpadder or something.

The game is a little stupid when it comes to binding keys, but it can be done. Just takes a good 10 or so minutes to get things as you'd like them.

Also, I don't think you can mod the Steam version without downgrading and installing a crack, for those asking.

It's probably best to just wait for SR3 anyway. The game looks like the spiritual sequel to San Andreas that most of us have wanted.

Don't even think about 2 on pc unless you have a quad core though.
