It's great. I finished it 4 times, and now I feel like playing it again.Binabik15 said:How is SA vanilla on pc?
someguyinahat said:No offense but is there any reason you have a problem with the episodic P&Cs? It helps in figuring out what you like in a P&C.

Am a bit surprised to see people wanting to play it on a controller. Looking around with the mouse while driving is something I'd hate to miss. I practically never keep the camera view directly behind the car.

The puzzles are very Professor Layton, but the game is hilarious and intriguing.
EDIT: it's not very long. i see you like it like that
You mean a bicycle? I only drive that in the first mission, when it's required. I love motorbikes in this game though.Nappuccino said:riding a bike is kind of a pain in the ass with k+m

ULTROS! said:Due to the costs (a lot of them are over $19.99). I only picked up Tales of Monkey Island because well... I love Monkey Island. The next episodic game that I'll probably get is King's Quest because I love love King's Quest.
Plus I like my point-and-click games not too long.
Loom, haven't played Indina Jones and fate of Atlantis, but heard loads of good about it.ULTROS! said:Any good, non-episodic point-and-click games I can get for the Mac?

ULTROS! said:Regarding Loom... Is it a true point-and-click game? I haven't gotten far in Loom but all I remember is just pressing some musical buttons or something.
Oh and I've played Indiana Jones too. Though I wish they would release Full Throttle. :/
Maybe someday GoG will release Full Throttle, Grim Fandango and all the rest. We can just hope.ULTROS! said:Regarding Loom... Is it a true point-and-click game? I haven't gotten far in Loom but all I remember is just pressing some musical buttons or something.

Buy Rome: Total War and then download the Europa Barbarorum mod. Literally the greatest RTS experience ever made, no contest. It's an absolutely wonderful recreation of the ancient world in stunning, mind-blowing detail. If you like history or RTSes, you'll love EB.Meus Renaissance said:Any cheap RTS' you'd recommend?
Loom isn't an inventory puzzle game, but it's still very much an adventure game. My favorite of the genre, actually! It's really quite stupendous, though short.ULTROS! said:Regarding Loom... Nah, there's plenty of resource management and placing structures and and nation-building, though not in a very standard RTS sense -- mostly menus and overworlds. And battles are actually optional, you can skip 'em if you want. I suppose it is more of a strategy game than an RTS, if you're using Starcraft as a metric, but it's still really amazing.Zizbuka said:Aren't the Total War games really just battlefields? I always assumed they didn't have the resource gathering, building, etc. of traditional RTS.
Syphon Filter said:Buying on Steam is addictive .I just got it last week and own 7 games.
Aren't the Total War games all RTT instead of RTS? Hell, isn't is really a misnomer 95% of the time? I doubt the scale of Starcraft is "RTS" enough compared to something like Total War (it has both strategic and tactical scales) or even EU. But anyways.Qwomo said:Nah, there's plenty of resource management and placing structures and and nation-building, though not in a very standard RTS sense -- mostly menus and overworlds.
