If you already have a Master EA ID then it will be listed on this page under other identities.
https://www.ea.com/profile

On this page https://profile.ea.com/myprofile.do you can see all of the persona's from the various games you have registered for using the same email address.

Bad company 2 accounts use email addresses and each email address should be associated to one Master ID on the EA system.

Yeah. I never had a master ID until I just typed in one 5 minutes ago.

The BC 2 was a new account creation and they clearly had no trouble associating it with my e-mail address, but it wasn't tied to any master account (since my in-game creations were just treated as orphans without a Daddy). That's so stupid.

From the registry, it looks like there may be some sort of free DLC/games when you purchase Stronghold 3 and Tropico 4. They're both listed twice each - once with the game name and (Prepurchase) and once just with the game name.

Just got a Steam popup about the Tropico 4 offer - "Pre-Purchase Tropico 4: Steam Special Edition and receive a copy of Tropico Reloaded! Already own it? Give it to a friend!"

Nothing for Stronghold 3 yet, though.

Played The Maw a bit. The Brute Force (DLC) level was fun, I liked the part with the rhinoceros beetle.
I really dig the art direction of The Maw. The blob and main character are very well done.

I'm nearing the last couple of levels in Tomb Raider Anniversary, is it worth getting either Legends or Underworld? I can wait for the new Tomb Raider though.

That say, Anniversary is incredible, especially the Greece levels.

I liked TR: Legend and thought it was a good reboot of the series. Haven't played much of Anniversary so I can't compare and contrast, unfortunately.

Yeah, it's worth picking up both IMO. Legend isn't as complex, but it's still a lot of fun and Underworld has some massive level spanning puzzles that are very gratifying to solve.

I think Underworld is the best of the three. Legends isn't as good as Anniversary, but still very good.

basically, Underworld > Anniversary > Legend

It's already been said, but I just wanted to echo the others and say they are all worth playing if you enjoyed Anniversary. They get at least some kind of discount every Steam sale, and maybe with the new one coming out there will be a weekend sale as well.

Mr Nash

Are there any reasonably comprehensive lists of games that support Steam cloud saves floating around?

Alrighty then. Since they always get a discount in basically every sale, I'll grab them as soon as they go on sale. Thanks for the help gentlemen.

I tried playing Prison Tycoon 4 yesterday, and it took me 30 minutes just to figure out how to get a prisoner because there's no tutorial.

Pro-Tip: Prisoners have to have beds. CUSHY LIBERAL COUNTRY CLUB PRISON!

I'm gonna try to make the worst prison ever. I want to see a full on warzone of beating and shanking in the lunch room.

Half-life: Deathmatch: 500kb
Counter-strike: Source: 5mb
Left 4 Dead 2 (This is the only one that makes sense as Dead Air campaign is added): 900mb

Oh, it must have done SC:S without me catching it since it's a small patch.

Strange, if it was an update to the Source engine I wonder why it wouldn't update them all.

Some guy friended me out of the blue yesterday from that Game Collectors group, and then started a chat with me. The following is what ensued:

---[Honor and Glory]---: hey :)
Joe Molotov: yo
---[Honor and Glory]---: I just joined Gaming collectors, and I saw the forums and website. So awesome!
---[Honor and Glory]---: I really appreciate the community.
Joe Molotov: yeah, it's cool
---[Honor and Glory]---: I was also wondering if you could help me out or a favor. Theres these two games on steam...and I really want them so badly to play. Sorry for asking! :[ I know you don't know me barely at all I hope I didn't offend you. If I did, please tell me and I will make sure of it not to bother you again with such questions
---[Honor and Glory]---: Sorry :[
---[Honor and Glory]---: You probably get this a lot :[
---[Honor and Glory]---: So this makes me feel so rude
Joe Molotov: ha, no I don't really get people asking me to buy them games that much
---[Honor and Glory]---: Oh, then I am GRATEFULLY sorry and I am in your debt for you to tell me to do anything for you. :D
---[Honor and Glory]---: I will try to return the favor to you.
---[Honor and Glory]---: Once i get a job.
Joe Molotov: sorry my man, I'm pretty broke at the moment myself, pay day's still a week away
---[Honor and Glory]---: Oh okay. Thank you anyways. I appreciate it.
---[Honor and Glory]---: I shouldn't be asking at all.
Joe Molotov: which games was it that you wanted?
---[Honor and Glory]---: Divinity 2 and possibly Dead Island

LMAO! I thought he was going to say Dungeons of Dredmor or Cthulhu Saves the World or some other ~$5 game that some good Samaritan might conceivably gift to a stranger, but no, this guy swings for the fences. He only wanted a $40 game and a $50 game that doesn't even come out for another month and a half. :lol Well played sir, you have balls of steel.

For extra lulz, I should have asked exactly what kind of "anything" he was prepared to do for me, but I didn't think of it until later. Maybe it was just me, but it kinda sounded like one of those kinds of "anything".

I've never seen it on sale. Only one person on my friend's list owns it (and he owns everything).

I'm just getting started. I decided to go with a ladies prison, since it sounded kinda hot. My first inmates just arrived, they have very creepy faces.

Makes you wonder how he got all those games to get into the group in the first place...

Not cool. Dude was being super polite and you dont even have the decency to buy him a few games. He would've paid you back on payday. When he finally lands a job, that is.

Played some Darksiders today (got it gifted during Summer Sale).

It's a pretty good Zelda clone but holy shit is this game unnecessarily violent and gruesome. I mean, even opening locked doors involves ramming a blade into the "eye" of the lock, followed by a scream. The finishers for every. single. enemy. look stupid too although they are optional (if you have the patience to mash buttons for some more). I like over the top stuff but this is too much. It's a shame because I really dig the character and environment art.

In general I don't like the combat too much. I prefer Zelda's in fact because even though it isn't as deep it does its job quite well. Darksiders tries to be Devil May Cry God of War but without the polish. Three things that need some improvement: First, the combos don't look or flow as nice. Second, locking on to enemies is often disatvantageous since you lose sight of the other enemies most of the time because of the camera. Third, the enemies have too much energy! I don't want to spend years clobbering some stupid minions. That said, the mini-bosses, of which there seem to be many, are challenging and well done. Except those that involve over the shoulder shooting. Fuck those.

Now the dungeon design isn't too shabby. I just finished the first real dungeon and it was quite nice how they used the items and tools there. It's nothing to write home about for Zelda standards but it's really competent. If they keep this up for the rest of the rest of the game I'd be satisfied.

That's it basically. Based on what I've played
beaten Tiamat
I'd recommend it if you're starved for a Zelda or find other Action games in the vein of DMC too difficult/complex.

Very pleased about Dead Air. Going to be funny to see how that finale plays out.
Finale is broken. You get 780 points out of 800 on that map, for getting to the gas button. The last 20 is for actually completing the crescendo/finale.

I've noticed a few other bugs. The big scaffolding crescendo where you have to shoot barrels to get through, as a ghost you fall through the wooden planks. Also the tank often seems to spawn behind the barricade(I recall it used to spawn there in L4D, but I'm sure there were other ways to get over in l4d), meaning you have to do some manuevering to get on the stairs so you can get over.

Oh I suppose I should say this is versus only. Haven't played through it yet on the campaign mode.

My brother's birthday is coming up. He loves the Total War games, esp Empire. I also think he enjoys the historical parts of the games. What do you think I should get for him? Probably a strategy title, and I bought him Civ IV last year.

Civ V is on sale on steam at the moment? Unless he liked IV so much he already got that. Total War Shogun 2 is pretty damn good as well.

Shogun 2 if he doesn't.

Also, Europa Universalis III might be worth looking into.

That was me, bro, why you gotta put my business out on front street? If you wanna buy me a $5 game, why didn't you offer? Get back in chat and we'll work it out. We can work out whatever kind of payment you want.

Well he actually didn't end up playing Civ that much, knida just went back to Total War. So maybe I will get him Rome or something. He is really only interested in the European theater... I don't think Shogun would interest him to much.

Or EUIII maybe!

Haven't played it myself, but Medieval 2 is the total war game everyone praises, so that could be a choice.

He already has that. I didn't know Civ V was only 17 bucks! Maybe I will get him that and Rome...

Ah but just think how much that $17 would save you in the long run. You'll be saying, "Just one more turn," so many times that you'll probably miss more than $17 worth of meals. So you're actually spending more money by not buying Civ 5.

I wish that wasn't true. But it really is. It eats your hours away like candy.
