They didnt lie when saying it will be END of august for the binding of Isaac.

4 possible days left.

Nope. It's coming out in September.

Isaac will be coming out in early - mid sept due to the addition of a few extra bosses endings and items (we are at 100+ items now)

From his twitter.

I only just noticed that there's no discount here, as well. Bah. I can wait.

Edit: I just checked the US and UK Steam stores (through Steamprices) and there's no discount as well. Can anyone even see it?

Remember, if your GPU squeals... just push harder.

Haha, it is funny you said that because Metro 2033 made my original GTX 470 I bought squeal. It was a good stress test to find out I had a bad card. Got it replaced with a new one and everything is working great!

Edit: Deus Ex HR up to over 53K concurrent today. Square Enix and Eidos have to be extremely happy with PC sales.

i haven't even played metro since i got it at gamersgate heh

did try the benchmark in the steam folder, is pretty awesome and was playable at high for me, and i'm happy with that that cause my video card isn't the best. what a beastly looking game. it's been in the back of my mind to try it, so maybe i willl tonight.

Steam is giving me a headache with Deus Ex right now :( I am downloading this since it's possible and it redownloads some files every now and then. It really is annoying :( Today it wanted to download another 5GB for whatever reason and now I checked again what the status is and it was down to "I'm downloading all of the 8GB of the game all over again" fuck :(

Damn fuckin' crappy connection here :( :D

So what kind of DRM does D2D have? I'm thinking of getting DAII, Two World II and The Witcher II, all for less than £40 :O

edit: holy shit they have limited activations on ALL games? No sale.

edit2: And they use Starforce DRM for ALL GAMES? Holy shit why would anyone ever buy anything from them?

I'm getting kind of annoyed with Steam achievements now that more games are implementing them so I was looking for the switch to turn them off and I can't find it anywhere. Am I missing something? Google tells me the only way to do it is play it offline mode, which doesn't work that well for me.

Edit: Or turn off the overlay. Which I like.

Not that big of a deal, just kind of weird they wouldn't let you disable them.

D2D itself has no DRM, the individual games do. You just download an installer from the site iirc.

Direct2Drive use the same protection that is found on the actual game disc that you'd buy in a store. what you download from their site is essentially identical to the game's disc, so whatever is on there, that's what you get.

The Witcher 2 has no drm since patch 1.1 i believe.

And afaik you could only download the game once. You had to pay to redownload. Not sure how it is now.

From what I've read, the installer you use to activate your game uses Starforce and has limited activations. I don't want that.

So why does it say in the "Troubleshooting Activation" in the support section of their website, they tell you to "update your Starforce Protection Drivers"?

Jump to conclusions much? It also mentions Securom and other forms of DRM, It's just in case the individual game has this DRM.

Also It says 'How do I Update my Starforce Drivers?' not just 'update them'

Well I've been googling for a while and I can't find any straight answer about D2D. There's nothing else on their website, except the FAQ says each game has "limited simultaneous activations" which is pretty obvious. I've found several quotes talking about how they have limited activations on all games and you have to get a new key from support after X number of activations, but nothing straight from D2D.

that is baloney. you can download as many times as you want from D2D.

i use the service quite a bit, and have downloaded various games multiple times from there.
