CSS Beta got updated to add a replay recorder like TF2
TF2 got a Tropico 4 promo hat
Portal 2 got updated engine files in preparation for the coming DLC.

What a busy night for Valve.

Damn, the "sign in through steam" button on steamgifts.com page fucked up (it took ~3 minutes to load) and I lost =(

Why isn't there already a separate Steamgifts code thread?

Someone make that shit. And ffs, organize it. Just take down everyone's name in a list, and as a code becomes available, a name gets checked off. The "first to quote me...." system is fucking stupid.

Yeah this thread being spammed with non-Steam related stuff is kinda lame. I know it's related to Steam in the sense you can win games, but it's not what this thread is intended for.

played Gatlings Gears on the PS3 --> quite a fun game and you get to customize (limited?) your weapons.

the only thing that bothered me was how limited the range of the Gatling Gun was.. but it was pretty hectic fun playing co-op with my buddy

I played about 10 minutes of it before heading to work and it seemed pretty fun. Reminds me of the old PC side scroller "Abuse" but with Serious Sam's over the top craziness.

I'm no expert, I only googled the site.

But it seems people buy Steam games then put them up for a sort of lottery for people to win. You need to spend 'points' on the lotteries in order to be elidgible.
Apparently points are generated for everybody slowly as people gift games for the lotteries.

I'm sure I've gotten something wrong, but this info is just from a read of their FAQ.

It's a website where you have a 1 in 1000 chance of being gifted Humble Indie bundle 2 or POSSIBLY, just possibly...if you're lucky enough...Portal 1.
