Gee, Activision. I was on the fence about BLOPS for $60, but FOR $40??!?? you make such a compelling argument that I don't see how I can resist such a deal.

I don't think you read the question properly. If "All COD games except MW3 and Black Ops DLC" are 50% off, why is Black Ops only 33% off? It isn't MW3 or DLC, it's the base game, therefore going by the 50% description it should be included.

So far there's no discount in my region for Call of Duty at all, sits at 20€. Currently five euro cheaper buying the entire war chest. Might be a pricing error, or might just be an attempt of selling more chests of war.

I know alot of people will probably moan about that Call of Duty deal, but I'm seriously tempted by at least one of those games.. maybe COD4 or BLOPS.

I've moved away from consoles completely this year and come to the PC side, and although I said last year that I was done with Call of Duty it's reached that time of year again when I'm getting an itch to play it. I wouldn't mind giving one of the previous games a spin to see how they handle on PC and whether or not I should be interested at all in MW3..

Well Blops has alot of people playing thing is be prepared to buy some DLC because I don't any of the DLC and from time to time when I play this I get booted alot. There are servers though that are dedicated to certain maps those will be ok but anyone with a rotation usually is gonna have some DLC maps in it.

I'd be tempted by Black Ops at 50% off. I know it's only £6.79 difference but it's the fact that by the description of the 50% off criteria it should be included, as well as 33% being stingy for a weekend deal, that's putting me off.

10$ for Modern Warfare 1 is a hell of a deal. The multiplayer community is still active, it comes with a solid 20ish maps and the singleplayer is a fun ride.

The Call of Duty Warchest for 15$ (5$ a game) is also a great deal if you are interested in seeing the series beginnings. And yes, there are people still playing COD1 online.

Don't see how anyone would spend $35+ for Black Ops when the superior games (W@W & MW) are only $10 a piece.

Actually I'm thinking about CoD 2. Was hellah fun on 360.

I think it does. I loved CoD4 but MW2 just upped everything IMO with the modes and perk system. Also some of the best maps from MW1 were brought over. Some hate it but the majority by far love it. That said, the wait for a game unless you have the DLCs can be long.

2pro tip: If you plan on playing some Blops with friends this weekend, make sure you try some wager mode. Sticks and Stones is probably the most fun, but Gun Game comes close.

bought the COD War Chest for the $14.99 ...even though i already own COD2 on CD, but what the hell, its good to have a digital copy for cheap.

COD1 and United Offensive are the only COD games i never played.

I tried to buy DoWII: Retribution from D2D but it won't let me. Can't save my credit card or some shite. This is why I don't buy stuff from you.

Edit: Also, according to Green Man Gaming Renegade Ops will be relesed on the 23rd September. Hype!

Do regional restrictions apply for the original Modern Warfare? e.g. it's $10 as opposed to £10, so if I wanted to buy it and someone from the US gifted it to me, would that work? I seem to remember Activision deleting some Black Ops keys from different regions or something along those lines.

Yeah probably. I bought Vanilla and Chaos Rising a long time ago and thought about playing through the first two campaigns but somehow I lost my save. Retribution would have been my first rage buy :(

Gifting between regions works fine. Buying cd-keys from out of your region possibly won't.

I don't know if the Free Weekend is up yet, but it should be in your Steam library already. Restart Steam if you don't see it.

Alright, I'm gonna buy MW2, COD2 and maybe World at War. I already have MW1 on D2D. I like the Call of Duty games so it'll be nice to have them on PC

Also, Black Ops @ $41 is still way too much, you call that a deal? Fuck off Bobby.
