I'd be pre-loading my copy of Dead Island now, but my key is not available in my country (canada).

Thanks for the heads up on that one, steam.

CSS actually has a retail edition, which I assume EA published.

Ah, never knew it had a retail edition. Still pretty weird to include it in a such a promotion, L4D makes sense though.

Just bought a brand new HP laptop. 6gb of ram, anxious to use it but no games. Anyone have a DiRT 3 code they'd be willing to part with or any other game?

The fuck is with losing all your subscriptions when getting banned? :|

Anyway, pre-loading Dead Island, where's the cheapest place to get Space Marine?

I believe there's a code you can use to get Space Marine for cheap on Direct2Drive. I'm not sure what it is, but hopefully that points you in the right direction.

Downloading Space Marine demo to see if I should take advantage of that $38 deal.

It won me over pretty quickly. I guess that's what happens when I have zero expectation or knowledge of something going in. Darksiders is a nice bonus.

I'm a HUGE 40k fan, so it might be a bit hard for the game to convince me. Then again, I loved Dawn of War.

Wow Metro 2033 is freaking gorgeous. I probably nearly blew up my videocard trying to run it at max everything but it was nice until I couldn't handle running at 15fps anymore. Simply kicking it down to High was enough to run just fine and it still looks so good.

Not only that, the atmosphere is amazing...i have big hopes for Metro Last Light just need a few things to polish

Ok i gotta ask. I know that quite a while ago steam loved putting up placeholder system requirements for games that had not published them yet, so i look at Rage just now and it has system requirements now and they are pretty damn tame but im afraid it's a placeholder from Steam since i dont see the sys requirements at any other site, any ideas?

Edit to say: If true specs, a 25gb install.

Modern Warfare 3 currently has:

To Be Annouced

as their system specs, so if Steam was still do their thing, they would have put up palceholder specs, no?

The 360 version is 21GB. So that sounds reasonable.

L4D is on Origin? Weird. I wonder if it accepts the retail keys...
... It's a Valve game, of course Steam would. Unless you meant registering a retail copy you already have (that's all Origin's selling) with the Origin client then, well, why?

Oh god, just got Deus Ex today from Amazon and been playing all night. Game is fucking awesome. I got the augmented edition for some dumb reason tho... Are the extras worth downloading/seeing or did I just waste like $7?
(Not that I'm complaining too much, but in Steam $7 = up to 5 games :lol).

Not that this helps you, but it may help someone else: the Steam-activated Augmented Edition is the same price as the normal version on Green Man Gaming ($50 or ~$40 with codes).

Yeah, it's a couple of gigs of stuff so I thought it was mostly promo videos and stuff like that and my steam drive is running out of room. I could've accepted some nice looking wallpapers at least, but Soundtrack sounds nice. Thx, will dl. Now to sleep. =)
