I bought it last time there was a sale. I thought it was terrible. Xbox FPS games just don't hold up.Anilusion said:If you haven't played riddick yet you have to (HAVE TO!) buy it!

Yeah, saw that too. How bad is it?Glass Rebel said:But TAGES.

Is it the same for the retail copy?(The one I own :O)Stallion Free said:Escape from Butcher Bay is fucking awesome (it comes with Dark Athena). If you liked EFBB then you will most likely enjoy DA as well.
Just a heads up, it is the style of DRM where you automatically get activations back as opposed to having to call to get more.
I would assume so.shintoki said:Is it the same for the retail copy?(The one I own :O)

Was surprisingly easy to get back into the swing of it. Seemed a little sluggish at first for a PC shooter but.. it's not bad. Active enough games, too.
Also, I never knew I had so much nostalgia for a 4 year old online FPS, haha. Playing this takes me back to playing this on the 360 when the whole Modern Warfare thing was still pretty fresh and interesting.
Also, I forgot how mental games of COD were online. Played that for about half an hour and I think my eyes are bleeding.
nincompoop said:So the online activation for Riddick is a one-time only thing, rather than every time you play the game, right?
COD1 + UO hold up fine. They are easy to fix for widescreen.RedSwirl said:EDIT: Y'know what I never played COD1. I hopped on at COD2. Does it hold up?
I got the extra mission and played it. IMO, not worth it. In between in the story instead of getting some information directly you will be redirected through the whole city and rescue one dude (15-20 min. gameplay of absolutely the same as the whole game). After that you get the grenade launcher. Never used it though as I played stealth.Shaneus said:Just a quickie to continue on from the DE3 post at the top of the page... does anyone know if the extra mission is worth it? If I buy the AE from here in Australia or the UK it comes with an extra mission as well as the other stuff. If I get it from the US (far easier) it doesn't.
I have the PC version, and it still feels clunky and blurry as hell no matter how I tweak the graphics options. Obviously my opinion, but after playing it a few hours I couldn't find anything good to say about the game.ArjanN said:That's why you get the PC version. And it holds up very well, and the one you get with Dark Athena is the upgraded verison as well.

Thanks for the info! I never played the first one (gasp! shock! horror!) so in that case I'll stop trying to look for a cheap UK/AU one and just get the US one instead.masterkajo said:I got the extra mission and played it. So you don't miss much (has no relevance to the story) apart from sligthly after that mission you see that guy (you rescue in the bonus mission) escaping while you escape some other way and you have no clue who he is. (that scene is totally out of context if you havn't played the mission). But it is not like you learn much about him in that mission. Just his name and who he is related to. A little fan service for DX1, I guess.

Glass Rebel said:Can anybody confirm if Clash of Heroes is Steamworks? If I can get this cheap from Getgames I only need Rock of Ages, Limbo, Blocks that Matter, Bastion and Binding of Isaac for the rest of the year.
Sinatar said:It's Ubisoft so I doubt it.

Kind of tempted. But I feel like if I buy it, Steam is going to have some Labor Day sale on Monday and make me wish I hadn't spent that $20.Glass Rebel said:Getgames has Dungeon Siege for 19.99$/. It's Steamworks.
Edit: I'm in Europe and changed the price to $ to save money. Pretty cool I must say.
How's Get Games? I'm very interested but first time i hear of it.Glass Rebel said:Getgames has Dungeon Siege for 19.99$/. It's Steamworks.

The Cartel is also published by Ubisoft but is Steamworks. The Clash of Heroes page shows Steamworks features like VAC, so I would assume so unless it's a mistake.Sinatar said:It's Ubisoft so I doubt it.

Honestly can't remember / don't know. Steam has made me second-guess every purchase because of what may go on sale the next day! Agh.gdt5016 said:Wait, Steam has labor day sales?

anyone else have this happen?
fuckin annoying.
Let's just put it in the list with sweet games with shit gunplay -Stalkers, Falloutets, bark, bark, etc-Snuggler said:Riddick is tempting. I played both of em on PS3, and I had fun until they got way too combat focused towards the end. The gunplay sucked.
The gunplay is hard because it isn't hitscan weapons.Snuggler said:Riddick is tempting. I played both of em on PS3, and I had fun until they got way too combat focused towards the end. The gunplay sucked.

So Snuggler pick it up for the improved visuals and superior control that helps the sucky shooting.
