Game runs great for me. Only problem is that D3D doesn't seem to be detecting it, so I'm getting CRAZY high framerates. I can hear my fans working over time. Why isn't the game limited to 60fps?

Console image quality doesn't do the artwork any favors. The gothic architecture really comes to life when the IQ is near flawless on PC. The visuals only get better as the game goes on as does the gameplay.

I can't figure it out. I get 10fps in the menus, and 3fps ingame. I've turned everything on either low, or off.

Maybe this is just another problem with Radeon graphics cards.

You can also run Amneisa without the black screen glitch.

I don't get why we are having different results.

The 5650 has been a pretty good card for me (HP Envy 14). Plays every game currently available at medium-high settings.

Brink is one of the worst games to be released this year and isn't even worth .99 cents let alone $10. Broken ass game all around, with missing features that even online games from 2002 had.

Yeah the difficulty curve sky-rockets in the bonus levels. The main campaign keeps a pleasant difficulty curve though, barring two levels. I know my puzzle limits so I stopped after a couple bonus levels.

We were talking about RadeonPro earlier, but that's just a program to keep you from using CCC if you like tweaking stuff. People like to force settings through CCC, and that can be pretty messy. If you don't use CCC for that, then I don't know if it'll be helpful. You might want to consider updating to the latest ATI drivers or grab older ones.

I played it for like 20 minutes when Steam had it's Play-Brink-for-free weekend, it is really that bad. Don't buy it.

Don't take it as a gift, either.

Yeah I'll try that now. I did some digging. The auto updates from AMD's site were failing because I am using a laptop with switchable graphics. I found that I need to go to HP.com and download their drivers.

Hopefully I can get it working.

1. Just keep in mind with Darksiders that the first hour or two are a bit slow. Once it clicks, it's damn good. The dungeons are a ton of fun and follow the Zelda formula heavily.

2. I believe the way the age gates work is required by the ESRB. There was a forum post by a Valve employee on it once.

ATi cards are notorious for having piss poor compatibility with OpenGL titles. I'm pretty sure IL-2 has been unplayable for a long time on ATi cards.
