Same thing happened when I moved to Taiwan. You need to open a support ticket mentioning this.

Than when they decide to answer you they will (well most likely) say they blocked due to ip location and have unlocked your ip, but you have to buy through the link they gave you - through the webage.

Steam-gaf how do I get my mic to work? I have it set as my default audio device in the control panel. The headset itself is working fine, I just can't get the microphone to work. I went onto Steam's voice setting and set the mic/receive volume to max and checked the "automatically transmit my voice whenever I speak" option. When I click the "test microphone" button nothing happens. If this is Vista/W7 disable all the other recording devices in that control panel area but the headset...try it.

I did exactly this in Japan and used steam for a year, no problem.

I've only played the demo and it's all right. It's half third-person shooter and half arcade flying game, and you play as the Rocketeer. I couldn't get used to the flying controls though.

I see why people were so awestruck by Mirrors Edge PC, it's quite something at max settings. Not sure why they turn PhysX on by default though, it was killing my performance.

It was a little annoying to have to set my resolution manually too. Kept getting a black screen until I twigged. Ten seconds of Googling later and the TDEngine.ini gave up it's secrets and all was well.

I still hate the game though, gorgeous or not. It was worth the £3.75 to remember just how much I hate it.

Edit: As for Dark Void, I'd rather play Mirrors Edge for the next 6 months than play another minute of Dark Void. Horrible game.

Oh yeah, I wasn't misled in any way. I just didn't realise how little fun I'd have trying to figure the correct route through the levels and how much I'd dislike the 'combat'. I always feel like I'm lost and pressing the 'B' button doesn't help as much as it should. Add to that a number of jumps where I feel like I hit the drainpipe, only to watch the drainpipe rushing past me as I plummet to the ground. That bugs me. I can't make the buttons feel natural either, if I'm rushed or being shot at I can sometimes press three different buttons before I remember that jump is LB.

Basically it's me, not the game that is at fault. That's why I didn't say anything too negative above. It looks fucking great, I know that much.

I've had Mirror's Edge forever and finally got around to playing it the other day. Yeah, definitely drop dead gorgeous. Think I'm going to stop, though, because it seems like it'd be mind-blowing to play in 3D with Sony's HMZ-T1. Without any crosstalk issues that normally plague it in 3D, I'm gonna put it back in the que till then.

I got in on the Magicka sale yesterday for 6.50 and am very surprised by how much I like this game. I heard some iffy things about it but Im finding it very enjoyable for the most part. Its a bit much sometimes when you try to remember spell combos but that kinda adds to the hilarity. I do tend to stick to 3-4 spell combos all the time but switching it up seems to really help...especially when those weather changing wizard things start screwing with you.

Fun game.

Cant wait for Renegade Ops too.

Says 5 hours on my Steam profile. That includes completing the main campaign, getting some keys (but not all), and a couple of multiplayer matches. So it's definitely more than one hour worth of gameplay.
