Doubt it, 2k10& 2k11 were both released like 2 days after the release date.

Is it cheap on Steam or something?mrgone said:I really like The Club! I can totally understand people not liking it, like any game, but it seems much of the negativity comes from the game being judged for what it isn't instead of what it is. It's much more of a racing game than a shooter (it's a Bizarre Creations game, after all!). There's no plot, no complex goals beyond improving scores and times, and the different characters are really just like choosing different cars.

I didn't actually realise that The Club was on Steam (figured I would've come across it by now). No need to get testy.jaundicejuice said:Uhh, have you seen the banner on the steam store front for the last week? Every Sega title is discounted. Some aren't explicitly mentioned the way the Dreamcast, Total War and Genesis packs are but all Sega titles are 50-90% off.

I usually don't like tennis either but I've had a lot of fun with previous Virtua Tennis games. I don't care about achievements but if the saves becoming corrupt is true that would suck.MRORANGE said:wow, sucks if true. I never really played tennis or even watched itbut I was tempted to get it.I don't sharapova matches counts as watching sport.
See, this sounds fantastic. I guess I'll buy it. TOO MANY GAMES.jaundicejuice said:Edit: Also The Club isn't shitty, it's just game design from another era. It's a total arcade experience, the only problem is that its design is a complete and utter anachronism in this day and age. It's a total score/time attack game that's as much a racing game as it is a shooter. Characters have different strengths and weaknesses, kinda like karts/characters in mario kart.
First I'd heard it was on Steam as well It'll be fun to try it out with a mouse and keyboard eventually.Shaneus said:I didn't actually realise that The Club was on Steam (figured I would've come across it by now). No need to get testy.
Shit. Wish I'd read that before buying. I'll be asking Steam for a refund if that happens to me. Not that I'll probably get one as it'd require me to play the game to find out the problem.vazel said:

At this rate I might try one of those sites myself, I have been waiting for a sale for two weeks, usually there would have been one by now.Chesskid1 said:rage has been like $35 on cd-key sites for a while. gonna wait for confirmation just to be on the nitty side but hell yeah for that cheap.
i'm worried that it will turn into generic-y shooter pretty quickly, but i'm a big fan of carmack . i know on the technical side it will be marvelous though.
Yes. Beware. I've had a corrupt save once (thankfully it was only the second time I started the game up so I didn't really lose anything). I've played a bit since then, have around 15 hours and have started the game 4-5 times, and haven't run into the issue again yet.vazel said:
jaundicejuice said:Well, I'm 70% done downloading and installing The Club, the Steam community forum wasn't even full of a page of threads, so if there's any issues, be it the game itself or GFWL, it's going to be fun using the Google-fu to find the solutions.
Edit: How do these CD key sites function as a business? How do they acquire their keys, how can they afford to undercut every other business, be they brick n' mortar or DD? Are they purchasing the keys directly from the publisher and/or developers? From another DD service?
Yeah, I dont expect it to last long, pretty sure we will start seeing region locked codes >.<Joe Molotov said:I think they buy the keys from Russia where games are really cheap.

SapientWolf said:Nice. What software do you duders use for your text and graphics?
DiscoJer said:What's really sketchy is how this place bitches about employment conditions at developers, how publishers are evil, the industry should be unionized, blah blah blah, then turns around and buys grey market keys to cheat the companies out of money...
