She sounds a lot like me when it comes to gaming tastes to be honest . I don't even mind the lack of difficulty in Fable III (or Fable II), but I think like what Snuggler noted, that the developers have made some very lazy choices. I was actually really looking forward to the moral choices you makeLedsen said:She plays quite a lot of games, and loves complex strategy like Anno 1404. She doesn't play action games though and hates being challenged, or dying. Fable is the only game which lets her explore environments, solve quests and find items without the usual risk of death, while incorporating social aspects from other games she likes (eg harvest moon). I'm sure there are a lot of people like her on gaf, or there would be without the elitist "gamer culture" scaring them away and dogpiling on a unique franchise like Fable, that caters to a sorely overlooked demographic. (sorry for the rant, and I'm obviously not talking about you, but I feel pretty strongly about this).
when you're king
Edit: One example of a game that does what Fable III should do for me is Assassin's Creed II (and Brotherhood). There's no real challenge there, you are basically an immortal, on the replay of Brotherhood I finished today I never even used my sword, just everything with the hidden blade. What the franchise does offer though is a large and interesting world to explore and many quests with some pretty good variety there.
