I don't buy COD games at full prices anymore, and I probably won't get the next one until around this time anyways

But yeah, only buying it if it's 20 or less.

I feel the sale starting today. I just feel it in my bones. I've been part of the group laughing at you guys for hyping up the sale and then it not happening, but this time even I think it's coming. That is evidence enough.

Just about half an hour away! Just came back from a 4 mile walk to the grocery store so I'm totally ready to spend even more!

I've been eagerly awaiting the sale too (there's a bunch of stuff I plan on picking up), but I'm honestly hoping more that it doesn't happen today, just to see the meltdown in this topic.

What's your honest assessment on what Dirt 3's worth? At the moment my opinion is so low it's 75% or no sale. Wrong?

I think last year COD4 was still on sale for like $29. There is zero chance of Black Ops being $20 or less. Activision doesn't fuck around like that with Call of Duty.

I got the game for free, but I'd pay full price for it. Though i wouldn't buy DLC unless I got the game at a discount. It's a good game. Looks amazing as well.

I've been through so many of these sales that I'm not sure what is left for me to buy really. I think I'll be on the lookout for something like Civ5 or Settlers7(?). If Crysis 2 dips low enough I'll definitely pick that up as well.

Oh ya, and I'll be picking up Amnesia for a couple friends as gifts with the preface that they aren't real men until they finish the game.

Why are people bagging on Dirt3? It looks fantastic and plays well in the short time I had with it. What is the issue?

I was really enjoying it for the first two weeks, but burned out on it almost as quickly. The driving is the best it has ever been, but the unskippable gymkhana broski bullshit is there and really detracts from the experience. There's also not many rally courses, lots of re-used sections. I still think I got my money's worth for $45, so 15-20 would be excellent.

And then watch the games be on sale anyway and/or Valve makes it up to you by gving you the Valve complete pack...for the second time in 3 months.
