How does it look fullscreen?
Full screen doesn't work for me for some reason. Even with that picked in the menu it still launches in maximised mode :\ I fiddled with it for a while last night but I couldn't get it to work.

It's not a graphical powerhouse though so if you don't mind the really shit native resolution it's not that important. It looks like a less striking Limbo.

Edit: It's a common problem, apparently: http://nifflas.lpchip.nl/index.php?topic=4448.0

Sure.

Terms:
I win if there is a Summer sale event before September 1st, 2011. You buy me a $10 Steam game of my choice during the sale.

You win if there isn't. I buy you a $20 Steam game of your choice at any point thereafter.

"Summer sale event" is defined as a broad summer sale, more substantial than daily or weekly sales or per-publisher events, by may include events similar in scope to the Thanksgiving sale two years ago or the treasure hunt sale last year.

Arbitration:
In the event of a disagreement over whether the sale counts, "Mrs." SalsaShark decides based on the definition provided above. If she isn't acceptable to you, feel free to pick another frequent poster in here.

Wanna take the bet?

September 1st is a bit over the top. The basis premisse we're talking about here is a summer sale in early july, basically next week. There is little need to make a bet beyond that very limited window of time, because there is no other major statement being contested.

If I were to agree to your range, I would be increasing my bet exponentially to include statements (like: "there will be a sale in august") that are irrelevant to my bet as that was meant (a weak cop-out, I realise) to be relevant only to the statement "there will be a summer sale early july / end of june".

Now, I will put my money where my mouth is, but I do ask for the range to be augst 1th, as to only include the month of july.
Should I win, I will wait for the month of august to pass before calling it, in order to fit you range.

I'm as cheap as the next guy, but posts about waiting on $9.99 games (especially very new games) to go on sale just drive me up the fucking wall. No personal offense intended, but a brand new game with a terrific amount of content came out recently (Terraria) for $9.99 LAUNCH PRICE ($7.50 bundle price) and you're waiting for a sale?

I realize we're not all loaded, but do you even get enough time off from your job sewing soccerballs in the back of an abandoned warehouse to play these games you want to go on sale?

<3 if you were trolling.
Come on now, as if maximizing your purchasing power is some completely off the wall motive?? Waiting for a sale is ENTIRELY legitimate and reasonable.

Stop trolling.

August 1st is acceptable with no change in terms, feel free to call it on August 1st if you are the winner.

I have like 60 Steam games I bought for $1 apiece over the last year and haven't played yet and Terraria isn't going anywhere. For me, at least, when I'm like "I'd buy that for $5" (or whatever) it's not so much me saying "I will never pay more than $5 for that game" but more "I have lots of stuff to play, this looks neat but not like something I want to play right away, so I won't get it for full price now but a sale would be enough to entice me to sock it away for when the interest strikes."

Just out of curiosity, why don't you think there is going to be a summer sale? Especially with the achievements/twitters about the achievements from the developers?

Disappointing that he released the game in that state. I refuse to put down money on games that look that low res (I hated it in the demo).

It's a bit disappointing but since I bought it on the sale I don't feel too cheated and it is a pretty fun physics platformer.

Would be nice to play it at something other than 600x336, though, especially since my resolution is 2048x1152.

That game sucked. The AI blatently cheats and it's a poor man's Puzzle Quest 2.

I did like it to a specific level but it just got stupid with the ai cheating and trying to use a new hero to level him up as you go along.
The next block to appear was always outlined on the edge of the board. I 100% the game and I never thought it was cheating. Some of the puzzles were frustrating when I needed a block of a certain type and it wasn't giving it to me, but those were never limiting in any way. If I finished it in 50 moves or 500 it was the same reward.

So, make TF2 free to play, drive thousands of new people to Steam; suddenly unleash summer sale on them. These are literally the tactics of crack dealers.

No sale, Monday it is then!

Star Ruler is 75% off, and there's a demo.

In other news, Virtua Tennis 4 is out, £20/$30 normally, 10% off that price at the moment.

Perfectly able to grasp the inherent value of the fishing game.
No sale, but TF2 is free to play now...heh, just in time for the summer sale...then?

Edit: Hi FV, Missed the timestamp completely, heh.

NBA 2K11 is one of the greatest sports games of all-time, get it if you have any modicum of interest in basketball.

About a modicum is all I have. What I've played of it is fantastic though. The atmosphere is incredible.

I agree, but I don't think it's solely about purchasing power. Very few people have the budget to buy every neat looking game that comes out. But a sale can be an enabler. It's easier to justify the purchase.

Pretty much. Team Fortress 2 going free to play was this weeks big announcement. First they'll be beggared buying hats, then they'll be bankrupted by Amazing Summer Time Deals!

It's almost insidious.

I might just buy bc2 today and be done with it. Valve, you could have had my money but your summer sale did not come soon enough.
