Do you have something put together at all? I'm making this as I go, if you have something ready go for it.
Whoever does it, make sure something like this is near the top:

That's mostly what I'd be looking for in a Sale OT: strategies.
- Is there a rebate baseline and no one should buy when it's at that price but rather wait for a better deal?
- Typically, what's a good rule of thumb on when to jump? (66, 75, beyond?)
- When a better deal shows up for a given game, does it mean it's the best deal you'll get or can it go down further?
- If a given deal can go further, is there a risk it won't and you'll miss an opportunity?

There are fewer than 5 cases ever where a game was temporarily "over-discounted", either as an accident or as an overzealous daily deal. The Witcher 1, 1C Complete collection, and one or two others.

There are hundreds of cases where regular discounts were followed up with steeper daily discounts. So to me, it's always worth the risk.

But typically stuff that's 75%+ off is not going to be available on a deeper discount. Most of the daily discount stuff is 33-50% off when it's not on its daily day.

My wish list is amazing!

DoW 2: Retribution - $14.99
Vampire TM: Bloodlines - $13.39
Bit.Trip Runner - $2.50
Anomaly - $4.99
Magika - $6.69
Jamestown - $6.69

Hooray for Summer!

Hold your ground!!

They all might go cheaper. I picked up Magicka for $3 the other day.

Just to be sure, all these games and the collections are gonna sell at the current sale price for the duration of the summer sale, right? Unless it is specified as a 'daily deal', right?

DO NOT BUY THIS, IT'S TERRIBLE. I wasted £25 on that.
Well yeah if you want to buy racing games you don't buy TDU because the physics are laughable.

But for $5, why would you think twice? A fucking steal.
I still won't buy it though, my PC is ass.

Oh, who could forget the great DMC4 sale :p So glad I got it for $5.

I'm pretty sure Direct2Drive has it or had it for dirt cheap.

True (perhaps; I'm about as certain of it as you :p), but also consider EA's treatment of Steam as of late.

Days 1-10: Buy only daily deals, and things over 90% off. (highest chance of being a pricing error.)

Day 11: Buy everything else.

Hopefully the Steam Sale is kind. I really want Hot Pursuit on the cheap.

Time will tell. Apparently, it seems the Mass Effect discounts aren't painting a pretty picture.

yes it's safe to say that something that's 99% off isn't going to get a steeper discount at any point ;)

Glancing at the search list, these discounts kind of suck. Only seeing 30-40% cuts, nothing compared to the deals that have been running all week at gamersgate and d2d. I guess it serves us Steam fanbois right.

Gothic Bundle during the 2010 Steam Summer Sale was one, $1.99 and it was changed within a few minutes. Also, the Valve Complete Pack error which is the usual one mentioned.

Going to pick this up. What's the difference between the two?

It tells you in the description of the deluxe edition ;)

Basically, all of the smaller DLC is included in the deluxe edition.

Oops, too late.

It was £5 though, would you say it's worth 1/5th of what you paid? My brother seemed to enjoy it on 360, I've been interested in it for a while so thought this price was too good to miss.

So was Oblivion a price error? It's $8.50 now.

Nope there are two versions, the GoTY edition for $6.80 and the GoTY deluxe edition which includes "Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more."

Scratches only 5$! Everyone who loves horror quests definitely need to buy it. Trust me. One the best quests in my entire life!
I was looking at this earlier. £4 is a pretty good price, so if I have money left over I might take a gamble on it at the end of the sale.

A whole lot of 'hell of worth it' for $2. Mehrune's Razor DLC ALONE is worth the $2.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition Deluxe includes Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and much more. This edition is playable only in English language.
