Glancing at the search list, these discounts kind of suck. Only seeing 30-40% cuts, nothing compared to the deals that have been running all week at gamersgate and d2d. I guess it serves us Steam fanbois right.

Clearly you aren't a Steam fanboy.

After this sale if I still see people bitching about Bloodlines (since it is at a discounted price currently), they deserve to be punished in a cruel manner. If it's not #1 on the top sellers, I'll be disappointed.

Aside from what he said, I'm certainly dissapointed with the sale so far today and I hope the daily deals aren't up yet. I want my 3,74€ (5$) games!

oh my god

the sale isn't even started yet

I expectad a greater discount. This looks like a forced editor discount and that's it.

Holy shit, Bloodlines finally on sale. Guess they finally got bored with trolling Steam and decided on giving a little break.

Right so its my first time participating in the Steam Summer Sale and i've always wanted to buy Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Deluxe Edition, which at the moment is (-25%) £26.48.

Is it possible for the price to go lower in the last couple of days of the sale?

Thanks.

The frenzied level of posting has gone down a bit, it is like being in the eye of a hurricane when you know you still have half a storm to go.

Guess what, it'd been $10 before on Steam years ago and was $10 I think last year on D2D. Less complaining.

So general consensus:

Wait for the daily deal. Do not bite on the week-long sales unless it's crazy CRAZY low (rare occurence) because it might go cheaper during a daily.

If possible, add a set amount of funds to your Steam Wallet so that you don't have to deal with rejecting banks and bad credit cards. If that's not possible, try to make one purchase a day with 3-4 games in the list instead of 4 difference purchases. This way, it's less likely that your bank will freak out at the sudden money spent.

Before jumping to a sale, quickly check in here. Someone will probably have a reccomendation on the price or the game itself. If a pack that's normally $100 is going for $10, obviously go for it, it's usually a Valve glitch.

Activision probably won't lower their games anymore then 5-10%.

Valve loves to basically give away Source games so expect low prices.

EA prices are high compared to before,
because of their move to Origin. Look for deals on there before making a move on Steam for EA games only.

And then the LORD David Bowie saith to his Son, Jonny Depp: 'Go, and spread my image amongst the cosmos. For every living thing is in anguish and only the LIGHT shall give them reprieve.'
Hopefully everyone on my friend list will own Bloodlines after next week, then.

That's why I said "so far today" and "I hope the daily deals aren't up yet". Maybe I wasn't specific enough, native languages you know.

They're hidden.

Bit Trip Runner is a daily sale for 2.50.

Somebody posted THQ has there entire library on sale for 49.99. Nothing is excluded. If you were a noob, that'd be the sale of the year.

Take another 15 minutes, you.

YES.

Added a few more games to my wish list so I can follow them easily. ^_^

If Witcher and Witcher 2 are daily deals today I will die of happiness. I need to play them.

It's still a good deal imo cause the two desirable games usually cost twice the price of the pack separately.

Sometimes, but almost always there's just 1 game I want out of a pack, and the rest are either filler or I already own them. It's not a bad deal, it's just no longer a good one and I won't pull the trigger. I'm not buying these little indie games for more than $5 each on Steam regardless of what their normal prices are, if the pack is $10 with 1 game I want, then it's a bad deal to me.

If TW2 is part of a daily deal, it's very likely that Russia-GAF could hook you up for <$10.

Well yeah if you want to buy racing games you don't buy TDU because the physics are laughable.

But for $5, why would you think twice? A fucking steal.
I still won't buy it though, my PC is ass.

I'm not talking about the physics. It's just janky as fuck and terrible compared with the original game. The last time I tried to play it, the performance was abysmal and vehicles were teleporting off the road in front of me. Then I deleted it.

It's incredible the passive-aggresiveness I'm receiving for those comments.

I've been a steam user for a while, I know what I can expect.
