Hey guys, I heard Kickass 2 is a pretty good movie.....
.....
Edit: Chloe Moretz did voicework in Dishonored. Just like that, I'm back on topic!
And she was awful. I hadn't heard such disinterested line reading since John Cleese in Fable 3.

I find the line between 17-and-a-bit and 18 to be completely arbitrary... and I'm not just saying that because 16 is legal here.
I'm surprised you beat Half Life 2 then.
The boat section was horrible.
Never got the hate for the vehicle sections in HL2. They really feel like a huge journey, and they're varied enough in their combat encounters, escape sequences, and puzzles to keep me entertained. Not to mention the superb atmosphere and art design. Controls could be tighter, but they work just fine. after just a couple minutes in the first open area.
I just read on Joystiq that Ubisoft fully acquired Related Designs (Anno's developers).
Do you think this could mean Anno 1404 back on Steam? Please God, PLEASE.Maybe with uPlay or any kind of DRM removed?
EDIT: link.
Your souls is blacker than midnight on Broadway and Myrtle, isn't it?

Edit: And Anno 1404 isn't the only example of Ubi stopping post-release support for the Steam versions of its games. IIRC, Driver: SF is out of date, too.
Time to move to Australia.
and time to dip back into the zone
Anno 1404 was removed from Steam because the Steam version is out of date and contains a potentially game-breaking bug that was fixed in the retail/Uplay versions -- a patch Ubi, for some ridiculous reason, refuses to offer Valve. Suffice it to say that Ubi buying RD outright is unlikely to change anything.

Hey does anyone have an extra copy of Torchlight 2 for sale or trade?
It turns out the game actually runs on my friends old crappy PC (which I did not expect), so now I'm trying to hunt down a copy for him so we can co-op the game this weekend. I'd be willing to pay a decent (sale) price for it or trade a game. I have a gift copy of Sleeping Dogs left in my inventory for example.
Saw this on slickdeals. Think its time to get torchlight II

That's a pretty good bundle if you don't already own most of those games.

this is the worst thing i have ever read
I don't get it. Are you the one who posted the 3.4GB update for CoP yesterday? I didn't get that either. Has there been some kind of update released? I logged in yesterday and didn't see any activity on that.
I'm almost certain that Driver SF on Steam was updated to match the retail version.
Add them, then quit out of Steam manually.
I've never had Steam delete them after this.
You need to shut down Steam properly, or back up the sharedconfig.vdf and shortcuts.vdf files.
Used to do it to me all the time when switching between Mac and PC. I don't get my knickers in a twist about it anymore because I've long since given up on using it. Just got a folder on my desktop with all my shortcuts (GOG titles and so on) in it and until Windows undecideds to mess with it that's how I'll keep it.
I haven't lost mine in years now.
Hey guys, I have a problem with dark souls: It won't start.
It just hangs there in a window and does nothing thereafter. No idea if it's GFWL, a dual screen Setup problem, or something completly different. Isn't on my PC though, I convinced a friend to get the game and now it won't even start.
edit: doesn't seem to be 2 screen related, I just took one off, same problem. I shows the steam overlay information and then freezes while only showing the key.
I can't comprehend how such thing could happen. The game lets you proceed however you want. If you're not having fun, then change your playstyle! You're not forced to be stealthy, so there's no need to play that way.I've heard that complaint a lot actually. The statue of liberty area can be pretty boring.
That's precisely why I liked it so much. The game doesn't hold your hand, but it avoids being frustrating and gives you a lot of freedom to experiment. Not having a magical map, and as a result getting lost in the big (and sometimes confusing, but always well designed) levels, really enhanced the experience.Eh, It's more that you don't really know what you're doing at that point. At least if it's your first time playing the game. Also, because the shooting is influenced by your stats that's not very fun at the start either.
Same with, say, the original X-com back in the day. I doubt anyone enjoyed that right off the bat just because of the controls and UI which take a while to get used to.

This is a man who knows where his towel is. The vehicle sections aren't bad.I never understood the complaints about the vehicle sections either. I think people just went from point A to point B and never soaked in the atmosphere that both areas (canals and coastline) were soaked in with all the different stops you can make and pieces of world you can explore if you please.
Are you running Durante's resolution fix?
I was having a similar problem and, oddly enough, unplugging my controller allowed it to boot. Once I got into the game I could plug it back in.
I reinstalled my driver and it stopped giving me trouble after that.
Mh, there is an odd USB error plopping up, but a controller is not plugged in.
You can always adjust on the fly and shoot/stab/KO someone if you have to. Some people don't like having to F5/F9 their way through the game (especially the first time around) so do whatever you feel like. There are a ton of tools and gadgets to use in Splinter Cell which I think a lot of people seem to forget exist. Ghost runs are usually reserved for a second playthrough when you have a good grasp of the level setup and everything, or if you feel particularly up to the task.Splinter Cell Chaos Theory suddenly became a lot more fun when someone suggested I do a ghost run. (Not being detected, not having enemies notice lights being out, keypads being hacked, etc)
Too bad I'm awful at stealth games and have to constantly reload.
Is A.R.E.S. one of the most boring and stupidly designed games on Steam? It probably is.
#dontbeatdeleteanyway
I tried to just push through but I'm pretty sure half the controls weren't working with my 360 pad.
I gave it a fair shot, but conveyer belt section just killed it for me. It was also a somewhat buggy game when I played it a year ago (managed to get myself stuck). Is A.R.E.S. one of the most boring and stupidly designed games on Steam? It probably is.

Still, there's not much to it beyond coming up with a cool build. I can't play it without a few other people to voice chat with or a podcast on.

Ah, seems you're right. Better ~six months late than pregnant!
Fixed. Oh how I would love to see 1404 come back to Steam.
I'm guessing the game didn't do too well considering the Steam page mentions it's the first chapter in an episodic adventure and it's been well over two years since its initial release.

The store page still being up is such a tease.
It looks like they spent this time updating the game for XBLA. http://indiegames.com/2013/03/ares_extinction_agenda_ex_fina.html
Extend's Nenin Ananbanchachai told me he is not sure if the PC version will get the EX update.

So fucking tempting just to be able to boot that up and experience it every once and a while.

i like it a lot and if u like some f1 racing you wont find anything better right now
Actually F1 2011 is much better than F1 2012. The last game was incredibly buggy and shitty overall.
