So I'd take it that the Amnesia demo is a good indication of the full game? I was barely 5 minutes in, no creatures had even appeared yet, and I was so fucking tense. It's the damn sound effects and the warping effects and something about being able to peek around corners by leaning.

Dupes if we detect we ban in almost all cases, but if it's undetected, nothing we can do. Lurkers it's up to the person adminning the giveaway to allow or disallow. Lurkers without accounts are hosed because you need to PM ModBot.
It's in beta testing. There'll be a FAQ post when it's ready. Right now: first PM; yes it prevents people from claiming multiples (three barriers: if you ask for more than one at once, you get disqualified. If you ask for more than one in separate messages, only the first counts. Plus the person giving away the codes can specify no previous winners are allowed to enter and that'll restrict people who have won during the last <x> days* * x right now is infinity, I am going to lower it at some later point.)
The bot is fully operational right now, but I've only given a select few accounts (JaseC, Salsa, xelios, Wok, a few others) the instructions for generating new giveaways. It's just so I can monitor it during the beta testing period. And everything is fully automatic, including the post edits (even though they say it's "my account" doing the edits)

The demo is maybe the most intense part of the game, but the whole thing is pretty terrifying throughout.
I don't remember exactly how long it was, but you'll be glad when it's over.

Multiwinia is a really insane tactical strategy game. It's a multiplayer spin-off of Darwinia. I don't really know what else I could directly compare it to. You herd around little green stick men and throw them against the other players to complete the game mode objectives but in practice it's barely controlled pandemonium.

When you contact the bot with, say, 10 keys they all get grouped together in one giveaway. So right now you are only allowed one key per giveaway.
Secondary to that, if the giver-awayer picks the no winners option, it will restrict you from winning if you've won at all before, globally. This will eventually be changed into an option that has some sort of date barrier, like in the last two weeks or three weeks or something. I haven't decided yet.
I'm still working on fleshing out the giveaway options.

That's great. Restricting a key per week for a user can give many many people a chance to get something, and will make everyone pick-and-choose want they want
If you've recently won a giveaway you should not be able to receive one of these keys. Someone who has won please try anyway just to be 100% sure. I need someone who has not won to try and claim two keys (in separate messages) to make sure everything is working as intended. It should be, but I want to test the auto-editing also. -- Thanks guys

If you are redeeming a code, just follow the instructions it gives:
"To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the line below that corresponds to the key you want (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering)."
It'll work with just the key, but for simplicity's sake I just say copy/paste the whole line.
The skeleton of the code and the research into GAF account "spoofing" was stuff I did a little bit before E3 for unrelated purposes (basically implementing moderation tools for mobile GAF because until now it's been very difficult to do moderate stuff from mobile). Actually building the Giveaway functions took me maybe 5 or 6 hours last night and 5 or 6 hours during the day today.
Possible, yes, but not any time soon--SteamKit (which is the reverse engineered Steam API used to handle Steam chat bots) is primarily .NET and I don't have an active Visual Studio license. There's a python fork (and I'm actually a decent Python programmer) but I haven't looked into the API at all.
Tried it and I haven't gotten anything yet so I think it's working.
