By the way, does anyone have any news on the Binding Of Isaac remake? I wanna be able to play the game without having to hack it with Joy2Key.

I remember when Rogue Warrior had the big game informer preview where it actually sounded kind of cool. Had dynamic levels and a more open structure. Wonder what happened.

Didn't Ride to Hell get a cover at some point? I remember some sort of 60s Open world Biker game getting one.

Remember Me was a huge turnoff. Everything game-walled. Most linear 3D game ever.

Omerta City of Gangsters sounds pretty cool. XCom style combat plus mafia simulator,,,but is it any good?

Also Afterfall Insanity Extended Edition? I can meet the recommended specs so I'm interested

Omerta has a bad rep. The combat isn't supposed to be very good, and the overworld stuff is repetitive. I'm planning on getting it because I love Tropico, but only at the right price.

No, no no! It's one of the biggest disappointments in years coming from the Tropico team. It plays like a 5 dollar ios game with prettier graphics and has the most stereotypical and diminutive story ever put into a game. The actual X Com elements are incredibly basic and easy to break given the game auto saves at the menu for every battle so you can auto resolve until you win without playing. The mission variety is non-existent until 5 or 6 hours in and then it just reuses those new elements again. Avoid at all costs.

I bought it and Aliens within a week or two of each other. Dark times. And now I'm reminded I bought Defiance too.

Any chance it'll be cheaper than it is right now for the midweek sale?

quick edit, steam says its supported by XP and Vista, anyone have any experience running it on Windows 8? Cuz I bought Sacred 2 Gold and that pos won't even boot on my computer :[

Need for Speed Most Wanted is better and can be had pretty cheap kinda often.

FYI, the lowest Burnout has been on Steam was $5 USD, so you could conceivably save a buck. I kind of doubt it will go lower than this in the Summer sale, but who knows.

According to the Steam forum for that game, it will work in Windows 8 if you set it to XP compatibility mode.

Wait, Sacred 2 will run? Or burnout? Because if you're talking about Sacred 2 you have just made my week. I have spent three - four hours trying to get that game to run.

I was talking about Burnout, but the same trick might work for Sacred. Did you try looking on the SPUF board for Sacred 2?

The $713k figure is the amount the game has generated for RI since 38 Studios shut up shop, though it's not unreasonable to assume the sale was responsible for most of it.

Is Most Wanted Origin exclusive? I played am absurd amount of Paradise back in the day and might be tempted to pick it up during the sales, but the free roaming police chases in Most Wanted are endlessly entertaining.

Ja, it is. Don't really care anymore, it's a fine service and BF really forces the use of it given I like the franchise. Wish they still used steam but oh well.

As Nabs said, you can get most EA games at Amazon for cheap, considering Origin sales most of the times suck. I got a few NFS in a Collector's pack there and so far so good.

Please feel free to test among yourselves or anyone else in Steam chat. You can use bogus keys to test, but they have to be in a valid format--and you should probably make them different each time so it doesn't assume it's the same key being given away by multiple people so try keys like SALS-AISA-GIRL or whatever custom ones you can invent.

Thanks. I have no issue with Origin either for the same reason (attachment to the Battlefield series) but most of my spare money is tied up in Gabe bucks at the moment, and Origin sales are few and far between.
