I'll definitely try again, but EU3 and not CK2, because EU3 is my next "idling for cards" game so maybe, just for fun, just this one time, I think I'm gonna play it. Sorry SteamGAF, but sometimes it just happens. :D

Anyway fact is, ATM I'm overwhelmed by strategics having recently picked Civ5 and Cities in Motion 2, and I think adding another one to my playlist will lead my current relationship to a complete wreckage. :D

I tried to get into CK2 but just felt so overwhelmed. Watched some Youtube videos and even they felt overwhelming! So much to do in that game, I never know where to even start.

EU 3 is too complicated and I had to drown the disappointment of Rome 2 so I went and bought CK2*. Have some games.

lol I know that feeling, especially with strategy games. And yeah, EU3 is more intimidating (even I'm afraid to play it lol)

Quick q guys - If you buy ubi's own games physically, do you still need to keep the disc handy after you've installed and registered it on uplay? And same question for EA's own games on origin. Starting to look around, and odds are I'm going to want AC Black Flag, Watch Dogs and Battlefield 4 day one. Since BF4 won't be on steam, and Ubi's digital prices seem extremely shit, I'm edging towards just grabbing them on disc, but if I then have to put in the disc every time I want to play....eh. Looking around at prices, I'm be saving in the realm of a tenner per game, but being chained to discs again...I've did really well so far with my pc, no physical copies. This is the first time though there will be big Ubi & EA games I want at launch, and I can't just wait for the digital releases to get a price cut. Thoughts?

No. Register your key with Uplay/Origin and then you can burn them. Burn them all!

I bought a retail copy of Splinter Cell Conviction, I activated it via my UPlay account and it didn't require a disc to play (it did do an online check instead). I would be very surprised if that didn't apply to their other games.

Haha thanks though. I was just wondering since my girlfriend has like gazillion sims 3 things and everytime, it prompts her to put in the last expansion disc, or no game, even though they've all been redeemed and installed.

straight to menu for me, can't even find an option to see the credits anywhere else, but looking for it on google there's mentions of a credits song so I don't know what to believe anymore

I even beat it twice
(saving/not saving little miss soon-to-be iron fist empress)
and nothing

playing Rayman Legends you think wow, this is good, you then play Castle of Illusion and you realise they just don't make plat formers like that anymore... I love the guy talking and it's "miss by a fraction and you fall" platforming....

Edit: maybe you skipped it accidentally, twice.

Rayman Legends is alright. The biggest problem is it lacks challenge and that it's basically the same thing as Origins. Origins was a lot more difficult which you realize already after you unlock the first Origins level. Apparently they left out the last levels too which is a disappointment. Right now it feels like a chaotic party platformer where the guy controlling Murphy is flying all across the screen doubling up lums and hitting enemies and the others frenetically trying to collect everything (playing on Wii U).

If you've bought the gliding ability, you can jump and glide over any guard in darkness, no problem.

Are you serious? Every person I know makes fun of me for hating cheese. Family, friends and coworkers alike.

I'm serious, if I ever become the world's dictator I'll ban that shit. And give everyone a Steam account from the very moment they are born, but the former is more important.

I just finished Outlast.

The atmosphere in this game is really really good, the music and visual style work really well, and they do some cool stuff with the camera to give a great sense of immersion. It's nowhere near as scary as Amnesia though, it felt to me like a modern mainstream horror movie. I ended up finishing it in around 4 hours (according to Steam), but the whole game is pretty tightly packed, you're not given much breathing room. It started getting a bit dull for me once I figured out the mechanics and how the AI works, and I felt pretty safe whenever I wasn't being chased (which is something I never felt in Amnesia).

Anyway, it's hard to do horror games, but this one felt really good for the most part.
