It was Quackshot. Ducktales NES is probably a 3ds remake because I actually want it.

Oh that was released for the Genesis and Game gear, looks like we can expect some classic Disney games in the near future.
WORLD OF ILLUSION, PLEASE SEGA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah. Castle of Illusion was also found in the registry.

The Ducktales announcement does certainly show that Disney is willing to play ball with this stuff though, so hopefully we see a port.

Yes. We need Disney to support the hardcore gamer market.

Either let Lucasarts makes some games, or contract out to an outside studio.

Quick question guys,

Im bout to cop a Macbook i7 Quad core 2.2ghz, I want to run Bootcamp for Windows 7 so I can put Steam on it. (Native OSX Steam game selection is limited)

Will I be gaining variety but sacrificing performance? I guess Im looking at RE:Revealations and others as the main games Ill be playing.

Anyone have experience or impressions gaming on a bootcamped macbook with steam?

I have a similar Macbook, it struggles to play some games mostly due to the Intel graphics. I had to put Diablo 3 on a lower resolution and low details to get a decent framerate FWIW.

Suppose we upgraded our video cards to Radeons, You think thatll make a difference?

Questions about Dark Souls, since I only played Demon's on PS3:

Can you still create messages throughout the world and see other people's shadows? Also I loved the PVP in Demon Souls. Is it similar in Dark?

Also for those that have played on the PC, is controller or K+M the way to go? (It has a Steam sale going now.)

Message system and ghosts are the same. As for controls, use a controller since you're used to playing it that way.

That's the entire Fable franchise. It's no wonder the series is so big with casuals.
I'm not sure what connection you're drawing between terminal illnesses and casual gamers, but I thought Fable: The Lost Chapters was decent on PC. I haven't played the other Fable games though.

I also didn't read any Molyneux promises etc. ahead of time.

I was warned, but it was cheap. That's how I got herpes too.

If I could, I would go back in time and assassinate the creator of Pong, preventing videogames from ever existing just to stop Fable 3 from happening.

Then Molyneux would be a politician. Your intentions are sound but I'm not sure that's the better world we're dreaming of.

Someone recommend me some games. I just bought the most ridiculous PC possible, and I need some games to help justify my purchase.

Note: Military shooters are not my thing, and neither is (most) competitive multiplayer.

10,000,000
Minecraft
Windows 3D Pinball

These are the most graphically advanced non-shooters my team of specialists could find.

Dark Souls is basically using the same messaging system as Demon's Souls. The difference as far as I can tell, is that the rating does not affect your character, whenever a player in Demon's Souls up-voted your message it would affect your health, this is not the case in Dark Souls.

You can still see the ghostly visages of other players (they become clearer near bonfires), there are pools of blood scattered around in the environment, they serve the same purpose as the blood pools in Demon's Souls.

The PVP component Dark Souls is to some extent faction-based, it is quite intricate, I recommend that you check the wiki pages.

I didn't like the K + M controls (even after the mouse fix). The game also uses analog input so a controller is definitely the way to go.

Wow, Brutal Legend's opening segment with the car looks ridiculously gorgeous in this port. The SSAO and draw distance slider really inject depth into the world too.

I might have to have a look at it again if it's had a few patches since. After the whole opening segment, when the camera pulled out my frame rate went to crap.

You Need a Budget being the steam daily deal after the launch of the indie sale is some harsh trollin'

but probably useful for you impulse buyers

I managed about 30s in Super Hexagon.

Salsa has over double my score. Just .... how?
I lasted 69s on the first level, 43 on the second and 19 I think on the third one.

The Hyper levels must be impossible, the first one already is.

I could see that. Most of my games are 10s or under. That 30s one I zoned out on. I wrecked the moment my brain said "holy shit, this is the longest I've been"

There is something very zen about this game.
So much this. As I said before, last night I beat my records on every level (except the hyper one), and I actually believed I may be able to complete the second one. But the moment the "New record" message appeared, I thought "I'm doing so well, fuck yeah", lost concentration and hit a wall less than 3 seconds later.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
I also didn't read any Molyneux promises etc. ahead of time.

Here's my play-by-play, circa 2006:

- ~7am: *crawls out of bed as his mate leaves for work*
- ~7:30am: *digs through his games* "'Fable'? News to me."
- ~8am: "It looks and runs okay..."
- ~12pm: "I'm hungry..." *drinks some long-life milk and resumes the game*
- ~6pm: *credits roll as my aforementioned mate walks in the door* "The hell? You're back already? That was quick!"

Needless to say, I had a lot of fun with the game. It was simple, but not insultingly so, and the world was, as far as little ol' me was concerned, superbly realised.
