hmm seems like Manhunt is the only game I'm missing from Rockstar (and well Red Dead Redemption too)

was it in a bundle somewhere before?

I thought I would share something I recently started doing with SteamGAF. I read a couple weeks ago that sitting down for long periods of time is actually horrible on your body, even for someone who is normally healthy.

I do way too much sitting, between studying, school, GAF, and gaming, I spend a ridiculous amount of time in a chair.

About every half hour I get up and do ~100 squats just to keep the blood flowing and keep the body from shutting down. You can do more or less depending on your exercise level.

I've been doing this the last week and I've been feeling very good. You guys should give it a try!
Yeah, ever since I've left college, where I walked everywhere, I've gained a lot of weight because I'm just sitting around a lot. I've been trying to find a decent price for a recumbent bike, so I don't strain my lower back and do crunches once I cut down the gut a little (I find it easier to do them sitting, rather than on the floor). It'll mean a drastic cut to my gaming budget for a bit, but at least it'll make me use my room more, now that Steam's In-Game streaming seems to be working finally.

no kids thankfully.

bought a house and a new car recently though. things are not going to be a massive shitstorm in the pragmatic sense but are rather taxing on my emotions. which don't show up often but when they do... real horror show.

anyway, I need to find room mates. and I need to stay busy. work and school weirdly don't occupy enough of my mental faculty to distract from emotions.

suggestions for happygoodtimes video games would be beneficial steamgaf.
Do you have a Wii, Wii U or 3DS? Bit.Trip Flux (almost) always cheers me up; the music, backgrounds and gameplay all come together to make an incredible and peaceful experience (though not an easy one!).

Another one could be Euro Truck Simulator 2. Put on your favorite album and start driving through some European routes at night, while rain pours down on your truck. Or try Costume Quest, which is a charming and cute RPG-lite that is guaranteed to make you smile at least a couple of times. And if all of that fails, launch Hell Yeah! and have a blast with its mix of Jazz Jackrabbit 2-flavored platforming and combat, WarioWare-esque microgames and metroidvania-like progression system; all accompanied by a kick-ass soundtrack and a nice and colorful art style.

Finally got around to grabbing One Finger Death Punch. This game is incredibly addictive. I will not let me self move on to the next level until I have perfected the one I am on. I highly recommend this game to anyone who hasn't picked up yet.

Yeah it really is, great game to play while listening to a podcast or just need to kill some time.

Thankfully , my job requires me to walk/ run pretty much all day long so i am keeping fit without even really trying .
Since i first started working , i lost over 15 KG just by doing my job .

Still doesn't stop me from being a lazy ass at home though :p

For anyone that uses the Metro skin, do you notice that the skin will crash the in-game overlay in certain games (like CS:GO)? I have been having this problem for a while now and I think it started when I installed the Metro skin.

With all the chaos of bundles and Steam being down, I just saw this:

Last Dream looks to be another RPG maker game, though it actually looks interesting if it can deliver everything it promised. It's currently 50% off at $4.99.

Last Dream incorporates the best features of classic RPGs: replayability and complete immersion into a vast world, rich with detail.

40+ hours of dynamic gameplay
15+ additional hours of immersive side quests
1+ hours of interspersed flashbacks
200+ compositions from talented, independent artists
50 mind-bending puzzles
200+ tracked achievements
500+ unique paths by virtue of the non-linear gameplay
701-page comprehensive Strategy Guide and walkthrough

Key Features
Follow the rise of your modest protagonists to epic heights in a sprawling RPG packed with a vast set of challenging puzzles, hundreds of original compositions, myriad side quests, and interspersed cutscenes within an in-depth, captivating storyline.

  • Thoughtfully-crafted storyline with memorable characters
  • Classic turn-based battle system and graphics
  • Adjustable difficulty level and custom scripts
  • 4-character party selected from 8 unique classes
  • Unlock a wide diversity of class skills
  • Build each character's attributes as you see fit
  • Leaderboards!

A Deep Storyline Focus

  • Experience a highly non-linear RPG from an independent development studio with a sprawling storyline. You commence as a modest protagonist, lost in an unfamiliar world... As you struggle to find a way back home, you uncover an increasingly malevolent and time-twisted plot to devour the ancient creatures of Terra. You must confront this corrupted power to save Terra and ultimately, yourself.
  • Complex Role Playing
Explore a vast RPG where the decisions you make change the world around you. Will you gather and trade the Ancient Elven Relics for a Dorian ship, or trek through the uncharted depths of the Woods of Despair? By virtue of the choices available in Last Dream, there are over five hundred unique paths in your journey through the mystical land of Terra.
  • Tremendous Replayability
Last Dream allows the freedom to choose any 4-character party you wish from 8 distinctive character classes. With over 4,000 party variations, you’ll never run out of new experiences. In addition to myriad party combinations and various selectable difficulty levels, you can also build each character as you see fit, so the possibilities are nearly endless.
  • Side Quests Galore
Whether you love the rush of gambling at Lucky’s Casino, the sensation of adrenaline pumping through your gauntlet-covered veins as you stare down your opponents at Cecil’s Arena, or even the feeling of frantically racing your giant flightless bird to win first place, Last Dream is packed with gameplay enhancements.

Development

Our development team is comprised of people who deeply cherish the RPGs of our childhoods.

We began developing Last Dream to be the central element of our decades-running annual RPG Tournament among physics graduates. That is, we started with the sole desire to craft an enduring game that we would personally enjoy.

As Last Dream progressed and over 50 creative individuals became involved, we realized that other people might enjoy our game as well. Now, after investing thousands of collective hours in game development and testing, and after receiving such generous support from the Kickstarter and Steam communities (thank you!!), we present you with Last Dream - the first in a trilogy.

The Last Dream Expansion and Last Dream II are currently in development. Our progress can be viewed here: Last Dream Expansion and here: Last Dream II

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Hm. Looks like the good karma paid off. Someone just reached out to me for a job interview. Might be able to change jobs! :D

Great news! I've got my fingers crossed for ya.

There is a direct correlation between patch size complaints and said person not playing a game in this thread. See: every post about Dungeon Defenders ever made.

Ah, okay.

A patch of that size just didn't make sense to me considering EMS One Katowice is happening right now, so I figured it was a mistake.

What's the deal with getting, "In non-Steam game" to work properly for various games I have created shortcuts for? It seems like the ones that have the issues are games like Diablo 3 where it initially shows it but once the actual game launches, my status just goes back to "Online." I'm not sure if it's due to there being a launcher involved in that game but even some mmo's like LOTRO don't work. And that has a launcher too. Maybe that's it? If so, is there a workaround anyone knows about?

You might be talking to someone else, but you're wrong in this current case with CSGO. That size of patch would basically mean an entire game overhaul, none was expected, not complaining just saying it's weird. Which it turned out to be, an error, therefore weird.

JaseC alert
The review for this game mentions Chocobos as ways for transportation. You might want to get the game before Squeenix lawyers take it down.

It seems that many Steam-GAFfers been on a emotional roller-coaster lately with many things happening in life regarding health, love, jobs, etc. Stay strong my good people, I'll be there for you if there's anything I can remotely do for you all. It's the very least I can do, honestly.

Apologies for this bit of Off-Topic.

It's because of the launcher. There is a way to get it working I believe and it's done like this:

http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/9882829213#14

That's for hearthstone and SWTOR, but it should work for other games.

Dusk Golem

A 21st Century Rockefeller
All of these recent RPG Maker games. As a fan of them, I'm happy, though I think more should move away from the default tiles, but whatever. Maybe I should make that one RPG Maker Horror game I've been wanting too for a while and see how it does on Greenlight.

Thank you dear 4chan Official rep! Your response and link has proved most useful. I shall get back to 4chan soon enough. :)

I love that I search and search via google for stuff like this with no definitive solutions. I ask here and it's answered in less than 5mins. Don't stop impressing me SteamGAF.

*edit* This worked perfectly btw. Had to change the first couple lines of the script to reflect the proper paths but other than that, brilliant!

Origin is ditching support my own language after March 26th for no apparent reason, meanwhile even Enhanced Steam is getting official support for my local language (right jshackles, right? ;) )

An easy way to get D3 to work is to use this as the shortcut target in Steam

"D:\Battle.net\Games\Diablo III\Diablo III.exe" -launch

with your own path, obviously.

Right you are sir. Be on the lookout for Enhanced Steam 6.0 either later this week or early next week, which includes (among other things) support for Portuguese language (thanks to The_Monk and Reckoner).
