There's Episode Two-level graphics settings and whatnot in the game options, so I'd say that's likely. If I could get it actually play, I'd be able to confirm it >_<

So I spent an hour or two updating drivers and getting windows updates, etc, and it turns out it was my AVG firewall causing the game to freeze. Once I allowed it from the prompt, it started working normally.

MNC, HL2 does indeed use the Episode Two engine. I did a quick runthrough of the first level, and the dynamic flashlight shadows, higher-poly NPC models and motion blur are there and working. It's likely the new antlion models and new gibs and particles for enemies are there too.

I havent been able to log into STEAM the last couple days and i'm receiving this message:

Quick question, I have a copy of Civilization IV, and I'm trying to import the game into Steam, but the game doesn't have a CD Key, so it seems as though I can't. Is there any way around this?

You can add it as a shortcut to your list of games, but it will behave as just a shortcut (i.e. Steam will not keep track of how long you play, etc.)

Only a limited number of games have the ability to use the CD key to obtain the full Steam version. CivIV is not one of these.

It does, actually. It just doesn't show up.
I have WoW added to my Steam games list. It tells me I've played numerous hours of games in the past two week, but nothing shows up in terms of what specific games I've played.

Related question--if you add a shortcut, do your friends see what you're actually playing or does it say 'In non-Steam game'? Is there any way to get it to show the title?

I named one of my games "singin' the abc's"

People often ask me what I'm doing.

I'd like to think it's rather obvious.

I really wish that anyone in my groups would count as friends for the friends tab on the server browser. If I join a group called "People who love to play TF2", why do I have to manually add them all as friends to be able to see them in TF2?

lol I don't think there is actually. A friend of mine ran into this problem a year or so ago.. he was just lucky enough to eventually guess what his password is and log back in.

:lol I did the same thing and had closed the associated email account long before, took me ages to guess, when I finally got it I felt pretty stupid as it was the same pwd I was using for another online service.

It's not even every game, it's every video and demo. Weird, I have it in my blotter for several friends too.

I've seen huge lists for some of my friends too. I'm guessing that since the blotter just started it's showing everything that people have downloaded from Steam in the past.

Saw that Hinterland got a content update and it's now available in EU languages and territories. Very well worth the purchase, IMO, I adore the game.

The Heroes of Might and Magic V expansions are up now as well, though they are a hard sell now with King's Bounty now out and kicking all sorts of butt.
