RedSwirl said:I played the demos of both FEAR games and they still don't interest me all that much. I still fail to see what has everyone on these games so much. They both feel like "other" first person shooters, I also fail to see the appeal of bullet time anymore.
The only FEAR product that caught my slight interest was the demo for the FEAR 2 DLC campaign which had some strangely nice level design.
Square-Enix got this so right, for The Last Remnant.speculawyer said:Yeah, developers need to fix this. And it is a really trivial thing to fix.
Just copy/paste your saves.ChoklitReign said:I'm not buying the FEAR Collection until someone confirms that saves from the disc version are compatible. I'm halfway through the campaign and don't want to start over.
I must have misunderstood.Caesar III said:@ epmode: impulse games have their savegames where you set them to?

Sega is bringing a Virtual Console-like experience to PC digital distribution platforms. Sega Genesis Classics is a series of individual Genesis games available for download via Steam and additional, unspecified download services.
On June 1, PC users will be able to download Golden Axe, Ecco the Dolphin, Comix Zone, and Vectorman, "from $2.99." We don't yet know how the prices will vary per game, but even if just one is that cheap, it's quite a savings over the $8 Virtual Console price.
The screenshots sent out by Sega also include images of Gain Ground, Altered Beast, Space Harrier, Crack Down, Sonic 3D Blast, and Shadow Dancer, so we can expect to see those games from the distant past on PC in the near futur

You can purchase a retail version of APB either in-store or via digital download at standard retail price (SRP $49.99/£34.99/49.99). The game includes 50 hours of action game play out of the box plus unlimited time in APB's social districts customising, socialising and trading on the marketplace.
Once your game time is up, you have flexibility to top up your action game time from as little as $6.99 (£5.59, 6.29) for an additional 20 hours, while more frequent players can switch to a 30-day unlimited package for only $9.99 (£7.99, 8.99) with discounts available for 90 and 180 days.
The retail package also contains a bonus 100 RTW points towards your next purchases.
An additional benefit to this evolutionary model is the ability for you to convert your own customisations and rewards to tradable products to give to friends or clan-mates or to place on the Marketplace to earn more RTW points (convertible to game time) or in-game cash. Check back later for more details

It sounds like...GTA, Second Life, and EVE all wrapped in one? I don't know if that sounds unbelievably awesome or just horrifying in it's potential for addiction. I have to say I feel really tempted to try it out, but not 50$ tempted.

In my defence I had finished it and wanted to reward myself. Now I just want to punch my monitor.Joe Molotov said:That's what you get for trying to play games when you should be doing homework.

This has nothing to do with 32 vs 64-bit. I understand your frustration, but uh... don't blame something that isn't at fault!I should be doing hw said:This is the price of graphics and performance I guess :/ Even though its really just Steams fault, if they can put out a Mac version they should fucking make one that actually works with 64 bit Windows 7 or just 64 bit in general.

What's the problem then? It's working fine on my 32 bit systems so...Twig said:This has nothing to do with 32 vs 64-bit. I understand your frustration, but uh... don't blame something that isn't at fault!
Sometimes computers are computers and they do stupid things. I'm on 64-bit and have absolutely no problems whatsoever (with Steam).I should be doing hw said:What's the problem then? It's working fine on my 32 bit systems so...
I cant even open the damn thing, it won't even open to offline mode. It's still being a pos, I think I might have to cop it and try a reinstall.

F.E.A.R. 1 & 2, Just Cause, or Alpha Protocol...
Hmmmmm... 3 very different types of games... what do I want...
You think there will be a sale when F3AR comes out?LovingSteam said:FEAR 1, Just Cause 2. I would wait for more reviews on Alpha Protocol. Definitely wait for a sale on FEAR 2.

JC, if it's your thing (meaning if you're a gamer that puts emphasis on well-rounded game mechanics, decent graphics and enjoys openworld stuff). The game falls completely flat story-wise, but provides a great world to go bonkers in.Dice said:Now I must decide:

Dice said:Well I guess I won't be playing the F.E.A.R. games. I just learned the PC versions don't use the 360 controller, which I need since my PC isn't on a desk (I use a trackball mouse for windows, it sucks for games) I know I could get xpadder or something but that kind of mapping blows.
That's why I was wondering since this would be so awesome.epmode said:I seriously doubt that the Steam update will allow users to specify a savegame location since that is entirely up to the game's developers.
