guys? Any input would be appreciated!
pretty please

I Found JCMP to be fun but to me it got old pretty fast once it was released. Still good for a few hours of fun at the least, if grappling an airplane to a helicopter sound like fun to you.

As for other co-op game I would recommend Left for dead 2 if you don't already have it. Spelunky is a lot of fun co-op but offline only. The Borderlands games are also ok but I could never really get into them.

Back in the day, Playing Just Cause 2 multi was a massive timesink for me. It is like a wacky GTA online before GTA online. Haven't played it today since downloading games with a 2gb per day ISP limitation is such a bother.

I typically enjoy lengthy JRPGs by myself but I really am having fun playing Magic Orbz or Bomberman Ultra with friends or relatives. I don't know there are games like that on Steam though. Borderlands 2 with friends maybe (I ended up making the game look like a FB game).

Thanks koolaroo, cardinalmind!
I forgot to mention I mean 4 people coop, though.
I probably should go with JC2 for starters.

Hello guys. Quick question. I got this offer in my mail. Anyone know if this is legit? I'm tempted to pick up South Park for that price. Anyone know if It's the uncensored version? Thanks in advance!

I can't speak to South Park in specific.

It's a Polish web shop that resells keys unofficially (does not sign distribution agreements with the companies whose games they sell). Likely the key you'd get would be either poached off a retail copy of the game in the area or otherwise acquired through some other scheme. Most people who use these types of services tend to get a working copy in the end, so the odds of it being false or the key being revoked are quite low. The major concern would be if the game required a VPN to activate or to play, both of which might inconvenience you and could expose you to liability at some later time. Although the probability is quite low Valve would act against that behaviour.

In the past EviLore has requested that people not discuss these kinds of resellers on GAF (don't worry about it, it was years ago, the rule isn't posted anywhere clearly, and it's also not clear you know it's this kind of reseller--especially with licensed resellers also operating out of BRIC/EMEA territories). During one particular period of time there was a reseller or two who had actually stolen keys, which were later revoked, and EL made that statement in order to ensure that no one would claim "People told me it was safe, so I did it! I hate that GAF made me fall for this" or whatever. We've never really enforced that because mostly discussion around these services has died as it's been easier to get comparable prices through within-Steam means like Russian traders or what have you. Recently there's been a bit of a comeback with these services, so we'll probably have to address it again at some point.

Personally, my sense is that if you're getting into something that would be best described as "sketchy", you're definitely better off waiting for a legitimate price drop later. I especially take this point of view because there are so many games on Steam and so many games to play, so the idea of rushing to play one particular game is at odds with how I choose to play games in general. However everyone has different risk tolerances and many people in this thread buy from those kinds of resellers. I've never heard anything specifically bad against G2A.

If I've misrepresented the state of play here, I'd be happy to have anyone else correct me.

JaseC

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
It's also worth mentioning that proof of purchase resides on the reseller's end and so you've no recourse if the person were to file a used key dispute with Valve.

Picked up the Gala bundle and checked it out... You guys can save your money. Shad'O is a snailpaced tower defense in the vein of PixelJunk Monsters and as a cherry on top it requires you to taint your system with QuickTime, Aethereus is a lame RPG and Scourge is a lame cover shooter.

Love and Kaptain Brawe are the best in the bunch, and they're not terrible, but not really all that worth caring about either. Love is one of those stupid-hard platformers (though, somewhat refreshingly, it has pre-8-bit graphics) and Kaptain Brawe is a point & click probably inspired by Space Quest.

Didn't win the first time? Don't worry, I have a second key.

This time around, it's still a joke with horrible pun(s), but I'm going to limit it to Valve/Steam related ones. Have fun!

People shouldn't give Gaben a hard time because of server issues. Its not as easy as turning a valve.

Guys, should I take a DS3, DS4 or 360 pad with me toplay DMC4 and Stick of Truth with a controller? If DS4 works with those games I'd prefer that, but I never had it connected to a pc before. 360 pad is the best supported, but I hate its buttons.

A point of order, love isn't stupid-hard, in fact it is reasonably straight forward. It can be beaten in under 10 minutes, you set your own spawn points and hence it is meant to be played through as fast as possible.

It isn't all that special (but it is fine for what it is), but it is quite different to a Boshy type game.

I usually share a similar attitude as yourself, Stumpokapow. I have plenty of games sitting in my backlog so that I can usually wait easily for a summer sale or something like it before picking up a game. I just happen to have the week off and couldn't decide on anything from my current library to play. First world problems and all that, I know. So admittedly I'm still very much tempted to buy it. I guess I'll let it sink for another hour or so before I decide.

Good price, anyone has an opinion about the games? I only heard about "Legends of aetherus".
I love Love. It's a really fun 2D platformer with a nice retro art style, which reminded me of good ol' Commodore 64. It's not too difficult, but it isn't a piece of cake either, especially the first time. I found the controls to be tight and responsive. In my opinion it has a great replay value, because you can try your skill at time attack, or the hardest difficulty where you can't die even once (that's the only achievement I'm missing; only managed to get to the 8th level in a single run, despite having being able to complete every level without dying after several tries -with a couple of deaths inbetween, of course). It also has an old version of the game with the previous engine as a nice bonus, and allows you to create your own levels. The music is pleasing to the ear, albeit not too memorable.

If you like these kind of games, I can totally recommend playing it.

A point of order, love isn't stupid-hard, in fact it is reasonably straight forward. It can be beaten in under 10 minutes, you set your own spawn points and hence it is meant to be played through as fast as possible.

Indeed, it's a completely fair game, and it doesn't feature any cheap tricks to make the player fail. You see something, that's the obstacle you have to solve. No ugly surprises, no hidden things
except for two achievements, but they aren't dangerous, and there's also a secret version of Flappy Bird as an easter egg
, basically nothing that could be considered fake difficulty.

As Todd said, there's even a 'cheevo for beating the time attack mode in under 10 minutes. If I recall correctly, I managed to finish it in less than 9.

Oh wow Scourge Outbreak already in the Indie Gala Monday deal. I'm really curious just how IG is grabbing these relatively recent games. Even if this one is bad review wise. Devs must really be all about jumping on the any profit I can get after the first few weeks of sales stagnate. Weird to not even wait for a summer sale or something though.

Interestingly enough, GMG seems to have failed to deduct credit. I'll wait a while. If it doesn't change, Imma buy more stuff lol

I'm going to guess that the first 2 tabs are porn related.
Since it's not a screengrab without something being dirty.

I can't agree with you there, Love is stupid-hard, for example the yellow level (with pyramids), the one with disappearing aliens, where you can't really set your own spawn point to help you any, that's where I dropped the game, don't have patience for that, because I used all my lives there and to start over wasn't desirable at the least. Although, I might have been doing it the wrong way, that is always possibility.

I love Love...

I must say I hate love then
pun time? (><)
For the fairness, it has to be said, it's not my type of the game, dunno why I bothered with it at all.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Scourge Outbreak was an older game from a few years back that was sort of overhauled with an update and renamed.

Edit: Yeah, this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDYXVamt2vk looks exactly like the Scourge Outbreak I played a week ago for achievements and it was uploaded in 2010.

Yeah that's it. I know it's technically old but the update was made to be a big deal for the game. Since the old one has been pulled from the store. It's more of a update (Even if the game is still bad) than compared to Orion: DIno Horder which literally just renamed itself.

You won't regret it, one of the best games from last gen.

The GMG credit is actually working as intended, it's just that after you use the credit, the rest of playfire rewards that you haven't received gets added immediately. Happens to me as well.

Good lad, Sleeping Dogs is one of my favourite games of 2012, I got all the achievements for it ages ago, it has a few problems here and there, but I really can't wait for a sequel which is just sleeping dogs, but bigger(bigger in the sense that it has more content, not in the sense that the world is larger)

Hope you enjoy it.

I think you're viewing bundles from entirely the wrong angle. They're a marketing tool, not some kind of graveyard for failed games. The idea is to get it into peoples hands and let word of mouth do the rest.

The flaw in their plan is the fact that w.o.m. for Scourge is not going to be good...

Personally, one of my favorite games from the last generation of gaming. Everything about the game blends well together to create an amazing open world experience that you'll probably never experience anywhere else (well, on the PC anyways)

I know you're only saying it as a joke, but I really hate this phrase (not directed at you here, don't worry!) It's infuriating when people use it to disregard others' arguments. I mean, we're all posting on a video games forum, of course many of our problems can be described as "first world problems". That doesn't mean they are less real or annoying to us, so please do us all a favor and shut up. You're only making yourself look like a fool on a high horse, one who can't refute the arguments so he tries to discredit them instead.

Once again, not directed at you! I just wanted to vent a little :p

My first time playing it was on Easy, with infinite lives. That allowed me to get a grasp of the controls and skill level demanded of me by the game. Little by little I gained knowledge of when to jump and how far, best routes to save time (and/or the easiest ones), how long do the disappearing platforms stay invisible (there's a sort of progress bar at their side that shows it to you) and more. It's a bit like Super Hexagon, where you can see yourself getting better at it the more you try.

So yeah, you could say I had a... really pun time with the game. Guess this saying is true: good at Love, bad at love
:(

Im sorry, but what do you mean? Everything is not running for you either?

He's saying he also shows a difference in funds between what his GMG and Playfire accounts show.

I am too, lots of people share the same issues. If your balance doesn't update within a week I'd open a ticket.

I guess it sort of depends. We can't say all games in a bundle aren't some that are basically dead. Though I guess it's a bit much to assume all of them would be the case. WOM would make sense for why Go Go Nippon popped up so quickly. Even though it was their best selling game when it hit steam within 24 hours.

nofun.jpeg especially if they aren't in english. I can't do anything with that.

I'm having a weird issue with Grid 2.I can't seem to get it to work on my TV, unless I change the ingame refresh rate to 30 or less hertz. Anyone else had that problem?

Oh no worries. I was merely mocking myself for dealing with such a trivial issue. You know, not being able to pick something to play in your free time. Possibly because I have too many games as it is. Yet my solution is to buy more. :p

I want to go Portal 2 as spoiler-free as possible like when I played through Fez.

Are there any Playfire achievements that are easy to miss and I need to look up? Such as find all the secret rooms or collect all the things throughout the game?

I think so. Luckily, portal 2 allows you to select chapters once you've completed them once.
