Quick go like Shadows of the Damned and other PS360 era games that don't have a PC port!

Yeah the wasteland DLC is pretty bad. Even though they upped the season pass to 50. I think most are gonna agree by the end that 30 was the most fair price for it all still.

Playing Arkham Asylum for the first time and man, I love this game. It really captures all the best aspects of being Batman. Whether fighting 7 dudes in fast pace combat or being forced to use stealth because dudes have guns, it's great.

Bethesda is charging for this

http://store.steampowered.com/app/435880/

Well, they charged for a horse skin, so not really surprising, but I'm still surprised.

What a bunch of crybabies in the reviews. If they saw what EA charges for Sims 4 stuff packs compared to what you get they would have a stroke. EA recently released a pack for $10 that included 4 plants and a wishing well. I was messing around with the Wasteland Workshop last night and there is a fair amount of new functionality and items included. Sure there aren't new paintings or chairs but you can get them via mods for free right now for free. The traps, lights, switches add a ton of variety. It feels like a more advance version of Redstone from Minecraft.

AA is good but I personally prefer City more, enjoy mate!

gave away the keys to the kingdom.
It's a HK store, to be exact. I think it is indeed region-restricted.
Yeah, you're right. I've been waiting for months, a few more days wouldn't hurt.. I hope. :(

The region-lock imposed on games bought in cheaper regions only applies to gift copies and only if there's a mismatch between the purchase region and the "home region" of the account activating the gifts. If you bought something for yourself, it wouldn't be region-locked, unless the sub itself is region-locked.

How's Road Not Taken? I've played it for a few minutes back when it was one of the PS+ freebies but I don't recall a single thing about it.

I feel like there are two main camps of people giving it a negative review:
  1. Those who decry any kind of content DLC.
  2. Those who are unimpressed with the amount of content in this DLC.
The people in (1) piss me off to no end because they'll shit on it for no good reason, but I feel sympathetic to those in (2).

well a few things:
1) no one on steam is going to be seeing what ea charges for sims 4 packs because as you might be aware crybaby ea stopped selling games on steam years ago because ????? they wanted more money. a little after that they were voted the worst company in america in a widely recognized poll, and responded largely by saying they don't hate gay people ???? since then they've mostly released unremarkable, bland, focus-tested garbage including last year's not at all acclaimed content-starved star wars game that most people praised as "not bad". the sims 4 does not by any indications seem to be a success and the primary studio that developed the series was shut down, especially since their previous title was the equally unsuccessful "SimCity" which is mostly famous for having the developers poorly rationalize bad design choices, angrily yell they'll never change, and then change, just before releasing paid product placement DLC and then ultimately having their lunch ate by a half dozen europeans locked in a basement.

2) you then compare this paid DLC to functionality included for free in a game that costs less than half of what Fallout 4 did (and was primarily programmed by 1-3 people in less time than fallout 4 was), in order to argue that this is a good value.

Alienware's Twitch stream tonight at 7 PM Eastern will be Dark Souls III with code giveaways...I know where a lot of people will be later

If you check the source from the FFIX-page from greenmangaming, you can see this tag: <meta property="og:title" content="FINAL FANTASY IX only 24,99 € at Green Man Gaming!">

Found this too on community hub. 25€ is still a crappy price.

I've actually been playing through The Suffering recently (I played it years ago but never finished it, playing it now and I'm a little over half-way through) and it's enjoyable. It's got a lot of hidden scenes, secrets, and things for those who explore, which is what I think I enjoy the most about it. But also for a game with pretty simple combat mechanics and being almost beat-em up-ish, they have a good variety of enemies and downtown moments to not make it repetitive... At least, half-way in.

Some of the monsters have wonderful designs as well and there's some great 'crazy' moments, and the dialogue and acting are fun to listen to.

Few flaws definitely, though. Your AI escorts you can either save, let die, or kill all have the AI of a brick and will do literally the dumbest thing in almost any situation to get themselves killed if you're trying to save them (worst was the first boss fight; you're in a room with a turret, and the AI instead of staying in the room with you as waves of enemies come from outside, but will instead run outside in front of your turret fire and take all the hits from both the enemies and make it harder to shoot them), there's some collision wonkiness with walls especially, and there's some sound glitches of certain audio not playing.

But interested to finish my playthrough and play the second game, which I personally had never played before.

In related news, I finally, FINALLY beat Forbidden Siren for the PS2 last night. I had started that game up multiple times, but it's one of the longest and known as the hardest horror games to exist. It took me around 30 hours to beat it, but I did every stage, every hidden objective, every secondary objective, and got the true ending and final boss in the game. I even am closer than I ever expected to 100% the game, I got 86/100 archive items (and if I get the last 14, I know you unlock a hidden cutscene). It is a game not for everyone, but was an interesting ride, and I find it interesting how I apparently got really good at the game at a certain point; I had to replay levels at the start of the game I had a lot of difficulty with towards the end to complete sub-objectives, and replaying them I would have a cakewalk with them and do them super-easily.

It's not terrible, but nothing great either. My thoughts on it after recent playthrough:
Wanted to try one of the free PS+ offerings and went with this cute-looking game, which turned out to be a sort of strategic puzzle roguelite with minimal rpg elements and randomly generated levels/challenges. The charming looks suggested something easy and casual, but after the first few game "years", the difficulty of the challenges suddenly spiked, sometimes reaching frustrating levels. I think I must have died at least 20 times trying to progress past year 10. After that, I kind of gave up on trying to save all kids every time unless I had enough energy to spare (which happened like once). Final result: ~60% secrets discovered, married Red, died from old age with no kids and no monument (no idea what the requirements were to achieve those, but apparently I wasn't good enough). The game's not bad once you figure out what it wants you to do (study each challenge and use whatever element combinations it provides strategically and memorize some basic combos like axe->wood->fire). I enjoyed my playthrough, but had no desire to do another.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Final Fantasy IX out on Steam tomorrow according to GMG. Also says $39.99

Cf8FEShUUAA2URY.jpg:large

To be fair, that was the price that "leaked" back in January when it was supposidly coming soon, and a lot of people freaked out about it but then the Android / iOS version released at $19.99 and people assumed that the GMG price was incorrect.

Maybe they were wrong though.

I'm a huge fan of the series but even I won't buy it for $40.

Square has lost their mind if they actually charge 40$ for a game released over 15 years ago. There is no way they are that crazy.

Didn't GMG changed their site? So I believe the 25€ price is new, since the page seems updated with date etc. 25€ is too much, it's the price of Type 0, not even Capcom charged so much for REmastered and 0, and sure they worked on those games more than SE with a PS1 port.
