STEAM | August 2016 - No Man's Sky will leave Mankind Divided

Just started the Witcher 2. Let it auto-detect my settings. It put things in Ultra. I start playing and mouth animations don't sync up with voices, my mouse goes slowly when I have to make dialogue decisions or God help us QTEs...turns out I have to turn off Ubersampling (whatever that is,) and now things are going ... smoothly-ish.

We get a new Astroboy game it seems. Since its Playism involved in it I guess it will also be on PC:

Relevant Question is how long until majority of music is removed? ;)

Yeah, this game looks to be a prime candidate to get taken down due to licensing restrictions in the future. If nothing else, they may remove the music a few years down the line. Honestly that would be the first question I'd be asking the dev/publisher about. How long until this game gets removed because the Rolling Stones don't want their music in it anymore. 5 years? 10?

Buy it now and back up the soundtrack for sure.

One of these days, game publishers will learn the phrase "in perpetuity throughout the universe." But it might take a while.

Chroma Squad is really good fun. You can customize your character names and all of their battle cries and some of the team-up special attacks, so I named all of my characters after different dudes in the Wu-Tang Clan and the big mech team up is called C.R.E.A.M. complete with them shouting "get the money! dolla dolla bills y'all!"

... and yes, for some reason I enjoy the game far more when it's Inspektah Deck and Method Man wailing on "putties" compared to other names. Not sure why.

It's more a Valve thing than anything else I would have thought. That time is the usual Steam store update time.

That was the case in the past, but these days devs can adjust the unlock time whenever they please to whatever they please. Even weekend releases are permitted now (e.g. it was 11pm on Sunday in Valve Land when Watching Grass Grow unlocked).

I'd guess the stark difference is just a matter of where the responsibility lies if something goes wrong. On PSN and XBL, the onus is on Sony/MS to fix things as the level of control publishers have is comparatively limited.

You know, I totally forgot that Deus Ex was originally supposed to come out on a Friday (assuming enough preorders and then regardless of preorders) before it was delayed. It should have come out last Friday!

Sometimes you're just not allowed to get down on Friday. Too much partying, partying.

Looks quite nice. I will be keeping an eye out for their Kickstarter.
However, I couldn't find a single mention of platforms, which is a bit weird.

Check the comments. PC/ HD twins.

Ok, I'm a little happy that D:OS 2 is 2017, since I kickstarted it and I'm without a gaming PC right now, it would have been way too depressing having it in my Steam Library and not being able to play it.

I should play the first Divinity Original Sin. Which version should I play? The original or the enhanced version? What are the differences?

One is ok, the other has a bunch of enhancements like voiced dialogue and improved combat. It's not really an either/or, more like do I play vanilla or patch the game.

Play the enchanced version. There should be no question. Everything is better in the enhanced one. The differences are massive. The back 3/4ths of the game was overhauled a ton, lots of quest writing changes, and skills balanced. Play the EE, you will not regret it. One of the best turn based games ever.

Enhanced added controller support along with voice acting and some new skills, items etc.

I believe the enhanced version added better support for cpus and load times. I'm not sure on that tho.

Nothing wrong with the vanilla version. If you want you can play it just fine especially if you like playing rpg's in an old school way.

I'm perfectly happy with this slight and expected Divinity: OS2 delay because it gives me more time to get around to the first, which hopefully I'll do after I finish all these Trails games.

RIP then. Trails games are awesome and engrossing games that are like 80 hours long each. So you'll get around to D:OS sometime late next year =)

The Witness just got updated with Nvidia Ansel support: http://steamcommunity.com/games/210970/announcements/detail/829047487118726041

Capabilities include:

* Super-resolution screenshots (waaaay higher than your monitor resolution)
* 360-degree panoramic screenshots
* Image tweaks for brightness, contrast, color control
* Postprocessing filters

Nvidia announcement page: http://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/nvidia-ansel-for-the-witness-available-now

Kind of a shame that these things are only with one GPU manufacturer and can't be something integrated as part of services like Steam, where all users could enjoy it.
