Hey Gaf, what you guys can tell me about the Dinasty Warriors 8 Complete ?

1. The price is good or its better to wait for the winter sale ?

2. The game really is a port of the PS3 ?

3. Better to wait for the port of Dinasty Warriors 8 Empires (30 january) ? The difference of Empires to this one are small or big ?

4. Hard mode is "D-Souls" level or the game is easy even in the hard mode ?


Never played a musou game, what makes me want this one are the gorgeous character models and the japanese voice option.

Always keep your eyes peeled for Steam wallet discounts. It's compounding savings on top of savings when you can get 25% off a wallet card on top of an 80% price reduction on the game you want.

I generally post them in the Steam thread when I come across a deal.

1. Price is decent, but I'm not biting yet; however, I own it on other systems. It will certainly go lower in the future.
2. . Yes and No. It's an improved port of the PS3 version.
3. Empires and the main Dynasty Warriors 8 are completely different games. Empires is more of a strategic do-what-you-want type game (e.g. you play levels as you want with little to no story). Whereas regular DW8 is level based/story-based game.
4. You might want to start on Normal to get decent items to make playing on Hard or Chaos easier for yourself. This is the type of game you play over and over on different difficulties to get more/better items/experience. I don't know if I would exactly say it's Dark Souls level of difficulty, but Chaos can be very difficult with a low level character.

Basically, if you care about the story and the price is right for you, grab it, because it's the cheapest it will probably be THIS year. Otherwise, if you like and know the characters and gameplay go with Empires (which will be more expensive) when that comes out.

Thanks for the tip! The purchase worked, but the GTA bundle is region locked :-\. Ugh. Getting a "Sorry, but the following items are not available for purchase in your country" error in Steam. Is there any way I can get around this? All of the other games worked, but this deal isn't all that impressive without the GTA games included.

Really want to get Mass Effect on steam, but I've read that it doesn't boot up with windows 8 or 8.1 since I'm running 8.1

Anyone on here experience this issue and know how to fix it?

whenever steam says that a sale ends on X date, it means that you have till 12:59 EST to partake in the sale. It took me a couple of sales to get used to the idea.

Usually, they do a final day best-of sale, too, but that tends to only happen for the really big summer/winter sales.

I know I'm late, but just to add to this: Hexcells is basically a tutorial/teaser for the other games. It took me over 10 hours to get a "perfect" score in Plus.

You really need to play the other games. Especially if you think it's relaxing :)

Anyone know what the new 'Broadcasts' tab in community hub is about? Is it going to have some Twitch streams for each game there or what?
 
I must say, One Finger Death Punch is probably the best $2 game I have ever bought.

It is challenging and yet hilariously awesome.
 
Pretty disappointing sale for me, everything I got felt like it could have been part of a weekly sale: Spintires, Peggle, Hexcells Infinite.

Still got just enough left in my budget for The Talos Principle or Ground Zeroes, hopefully when that turns up. Failing that I'll sell some silly TF2 rares I don't care about.

You can use a VPN to activate it.
 
I upgraded my Shadowrun Returns to the Deluxe edition, but I can't seem to locate the Anthology or the Soundtrack anywhere.. What did I just buy and where the hell is it :/
