Zky is craving some strange.
Add me to that team. Buy it, Zky :)
Really excited to see your thoughts on Life is Strange. The mundane, 90s teen drama feel in the writing really sets it apart from other stuff. I don't know what it is about it that's so endearing to me. But for someone well-versed in visual novels, I think it has a lot to offer in terms of characterization.

See, Zky! Another one for #TeamStrange. You gotta get it!

Played a bunch of Infinifactory today.
I might wait a bit more before I dig in deeper, getting some audio glitching on it.
And hopefully they add achievements at some point before it leaves early access.
Only a couple people from my friendlist has it so the leaderboards are a bit empty too.

No Anthony Burch either, so the writing might actually be passable this time.

What, really? This is the best news.

So we shouldn't be telling you to buy Life is Strange...ok

buy Life is Strange

You'll get past it eventually. You will be a master of dodging arrows. The rest of the game will be breeze
okay not really
. Happiness awaits beyond the archers. Do not give up. Do not forsake hope. Praise the sun.

I tried poisoning, but I misjudged the wall on one shot and got smoked off the ledge.

I tried running up and going melee, but I misjudged him NOT going to melee and took and arrow to the face...and got smoked off the ledge.

3rd time is the charm.

I will have my revenge.

Just finished (well got an ending at least) Legend of Grimrock 2 after taking a long break. I dropped initially because I started the game on hard and got to a part that seemed like test of endurance fight against tons of mobs in a closed area. The combat in the game is really the part I like the least of the game and I'm not sure why I chose hard in the first place but that ordeal really killed my enthusiasm.

Recently though I read of a strat that makes it much easier so using that I picked it back up and I really regret dropping the game like that. When I was playing I had made notes but they were not really in depth so going back now it's hard to keep track of what I've done. Things like dropping excess armour/weapons so it didn't clog my inventory, but not remembering exactly where it was or more importantly, dead ends that had clues associated with them that have become lost with the other in-game notes. I just looked up how to open up the snake pyramid place because there was no way I was going to remember any in-game clues that were dropped months ago when I first started playing.

I really wish I could have continued to play the game completely in the dark but even with that black mark on my experience I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure how I feel about the open world nature of the world vs the floored dungeon of the first game but it certainly offered up some new avenues for gameplay mechanics. There are also seems to be more to the game after the ending as well, I only opened the snake area after beating the game so hopefully the post game(?) areas aren't too dependent on intimate knowledge of the rest of the world. I'm aware of some things that seem off but there is far more that I've forgotten.

So many nice additions to greenlight today? What happened?

there are those puzzle games, that look interesting
This was seems to be multi only, and even if idea is good, it's kinda not good for steam games, not good at all.

then there are those adventure games:

and then there is this game, which has huge potential:

what's going on?

Looks terrible. Upvoted!

I hope you enjoyed "discussion" that's going on there (><)

For those on the fence with Empire At War, thoughts I had about it last December when someone asked about it.

I say yay as a casual fan of Star Wars at most, and someone who appreciates a sit back and relax RTS.

As a RTS it never really moves beyond being decent and competent and can even seem a bit basic at times when compared to the bigger names of the genre or more robust space strategy games, but it's a good fun experience single player missions or skirmish wise to relaxingly play through and simply conquer a planet or solar system without every getting too bogged down in complex requirements or specialised tactics. It's easy to figure out what forces work best against what enemy, how to make best advantage of boosts from sending resources to a planet before you engage it for control (e.g. sending R2D2 to steal tech from the Empire), and nothing is ever confusing about the terrain or pathfinding for your troops.
To be clear I'm not saying it's simple or overly easy, just that it won't be overly demanding as some RTS games can become in figuring out it's intricacies.

Note however that online multiplayer no longer works, so it is a single player affair. Which if playing for a sit back and relax style, or something to come back to every now and then every couple of days for a single long campaign mode (conquer a solar system), it does off a lot to do and cover.

As a Star Wars game it checks off every box required to feel like a game for the franchise, where everything looks and sounds right, and the story does actually fit between movies without worry (as far as I know anyroad). It even comes with a cinematic view if you want to make the ground or space battles feel closer to the movies, at least until the novelty wears off on it.

Plenty of good mods out there as well. http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-empire-at-war/mods

love those pastel colors

Timed exclusive, will see a Steam release a few months after the PS4/Vita release.

You had my curiosity, now you have my attention.

By the way, SteamGAF's posting of Hexcells screens led to me trying it for the first time ever one weekend a few weeks ago. I managed to get the Perfectionist achievement earlier this week.

No ragrets and I'm looking forward to buying Infinite in the next Seal.

For fans of Demon's Souls/Dark Souls/Bloodborne and/or the IGA Castlevanias, I recommend checking out Ska Studios's upcoming Salt and Sanctuary which seeks to be in line with those two ideas.

ps4 exclusive tho, right?

I was under the impression that the time was just to small to be able to launch on more platforms simultaneously.
