The backgrounds are just the blandest imaginable, and look like they were designed with RPG Maker 95. The enemy/boss designs look pretty neat...but they're also flat.

It really takes away from the gravitas of it all. This woman is fighting to avenge her father's death, but all I can think is FLAT.

Gaping Dragon was probably the toughest boss I fought so far :/

I did it fairly early and alone. Super tense.

His attacks were super predicatable and easy to avoid, at least for me. A big dissapointment as he looks menacing as fuck.

Well, I have already read the first 5 of 7 Witcher novels, and the final 2 won't be released in the US until 2016 and 2017, so I'll go ahead and read these.

I'll probably just have to re-read them once the real translations are released.

Maybe that'll give me a reason to play through 1&2 again before giving Wild Hunt another playthrough on an upgraded PC.

I too have read the first five novels, I recommend you do a replay, some references would start to make sense, and Witcher 2 still looks mighty gorgeous.
