lol I got EG2 for $4.99 during the sale, but hey good games are worth whatever you pay for them ;P

For that matter, gotta go check when the first game will be streamed =X

I'm working on wishing it up now. Trolling through Gran Pulse and I think I'm going to skip all the side content for now and just iron out the rest of the story.

Going to try and send my laptop in under the Acer warranty scheme this week. If they agree to repair it I'm just after tips on how I can retain as much of my Steam stuff as possible. My current steam folder is around 160GB but I'm more worried about losing saved games than having to download stuff again. I have an unlimited 10MB/s connection so grabbing games again is no big issue. Never done something like this before so I'm a bit clueless but I was assuming the following:

- start by uninstalling all games I've never played - should eliminate at least half of the folder! :/
- switch on cloud saving for all games that support it and run the game once to ensure my current save is uploaded

Does that sound sensible? If so, then what? I remember people talking about a program to move your steam folder from one drive to another. I have a 300GB USB drive so can I move it to a partition on that then move it back once my laptop is repaired?

Also, anything else I need to watch for outside of the Seam folder? I know my Dark Souls saves are stored in My Documents. Can I just back those up to USB then restore later as well?

Any advice from someone that's done something similar in the past would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Use GameSave Manager to back up your saves (before uninstalling the games), and as for Steam itself, just back up the entire folder once you've trimmed the fat.

If you are mostly worried about savegames you should check out this program
http://www.gamesave-manager.com/

It will automatically detect savegames for most games and back them up, you need to double check though since some smaller games might not be included, so you'd have to add them manually.

Happy Sunday my good people! Sun is peeking but it's still quite a bit cold in here, hope everyone is doing okay. Anyone playing any goodies from the sale? I will keep my adventures in RE Revelations along the week and will keep on listening the "Kovac's Rules" in How to Survive.

so, you'll go on with ignoring my questions in 2015 too? bummer

Anyway, I probably need to start my list for people that don't have Trails in their GOTY lists, because it's time.

I initially said I'll have no problem with my steam GOTY list but now when I'm thinking about submitting it, I have hard time with anything beyond my two goties, too many good games and too many games I think are great. Still, I need to make up my mind today, somehow.
