Finished Gone Home and a few thoughts:

Went into it not knowing anything besides what kind of game it is. Was a lot shorter than I was expecting. The story was interesting enough I guess but I think I found the act of wandering around discovering fragments the more compelling part of the experience. I'd say it's definitely worth a playthrough as long as you're the type of person who doesn't need tons of action to stay interested, but I have no clue how they can justify charging $19.99 for it at normal price.

Yea i picked it up off humble for $6 or so and thought that was the perfect price point for the game. I walked away feeling like I had paid for a movie ticket which is about right for how long the game was. It was quite well done though!

Just finished Transistor. Excellent game, loved the art design and the soundtrack.
Exceptionally bleak ending too, which I loved. That's going to stick with me.

Thanks, I'm still in the process of improving my writing so these tend to help. I'm always open to feedback to improve my English vocabulary but so far GAF has been kind and not too harsh on my writing. ;)

Did you make something to avoid crashing in New Vegas? Just curious as I might start this one soon.

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mod.../ajax/moddescription/?id=12801&preview=&pUp=1

^That will compress textures so that can prevent some crashes, due to memory leaks?

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/m...ds.com/newvegas/ajax/modfiles/?id=35262&pUp=1

^That one will allot more memory to the game, I assume.

http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/m.../ajax/moddescription/?id=41381&preview=&pUp=1

^ I also got this, but I just used the new exe that's in the first mod listed here and played for almost 2 hours straight without a crash (play session - no crash).

How long did it take you? It's a game you should just plan/aim to finish in one sitting?

Guess what? Misurugi Kamui Hikae is actually pretty fun, and hard.

And unlike what the Steam community might make you think, it isn't really a perv game. No flashing panties or whatever unless you actively try to see them, for some reason. Well, at least so far (chapter 3)

I got invite to Transformers Universe beta... Why I even applied? now I feel bad for taking someones place and if I'll start to play it, everything goes to hell, including my precious started games (><)

I haven't played it yet, but it reminded me of Oneechanbara.

So it was brought to my attention that there is a version Serious Sam on sale right now that allows up to 42 player co-op campaign (if I read that right). Check it out, might be fun if we could get 42 gaffers doing a playthrough. :D

Started playing Magicians & Looters (got in a Groupee bundle), and oh boy is it rough. Graphics are rough, text is annoying and juvenile for the most part, controls are very floaty and combat is pretty unsatisfying. But hey, I didn't pay much for it. I'd avoid paying full price for the game.

Maybe it gets better later on, I don't know.

I just completed Mickey Mouse and the Castle of Illusion.

It's a competant platformer and a faithful remake, but it's certainly reliant on collectables to pad out an incredibly short game. Perhaps I'm remembering incorrectly, but the original Mega Drive/Genesis version seemed to have more foreboding, a higher difficulty level and a bigger sense of unease.

I finished the game in 90ish minutes. Its short but its fun and there is a nice combat system . The moveset works fine and with better graphics and a more fleshed out concepts and moves it can really be a big spectacle.

You should just ModBot it.

I played a couple matches in it a few days ago. The transforming is nice, but that's about it.

That's all what's needed, actually... no modboting it now
I'll do just that, play a little, just for a week or so, maybe two.

What I kept saying! Glad it finally gets some love from steamgaf

New Vegas isn't crashing anymore. It's nice to do those slow "dungeon" crawls through malls and casinos again - it's been so long since I played Fallout 3.

The world map looks tiny though, but if it is densely populated, then I guess that's fine.

How did you get it to stop crashing, the inumhwthreads thing?

The Mojave is pretty densely populated. Between the base game and the DLC, I played about 195 hours. On my first playthrough. And I missed a vault or two.

I've won quite a few games here, so I thought it was time to give something else back. :)

I'll do just that, play a little, just for a week or so, maybe two.

The transforming makes for some fast-paced movement, but the gameplay is painfully slow. I just played as the Medic and healed my teammates. It's kind of like a TPS, but you can lock onto targets. Whenever you die you have to spend Energon to respawn, which takes time to regenerate, though you start out with a lot.

Does someone want to play CS:GO with me?

I just bought it over the sale, and I'm trying to learn how to pwn.

PM me if you want to play a couple rounds and show me the ropes..

I'll have to look into buying keys off of people then. Sounds like I'd save a ton of money in the long run.

We'll be waiting for you, buddy. Some of us never leave...

Edit: And CSGO wasn't like that before, so that's why I was confused.

If you need any help don't hesitate to message me on steam. Wouldn't want you buying keys that get revoked now would we.

HEYOOO NEW VEGAS BABY! get some mods on that shit brah. Its like my favorite game since the day it cameo out

Abyss Odyssey: I'm still on the fence about that one. It looks cool, yes - but I didn't enjoy Zeno Clash and found Rock of Ages (PS3) kinda boring. I'll wait for proper hands-on impressions.

Abyss Odyssey plays nothing like those games though.

I just got it. $1.49 seems like a great price for some crazy shooter action. You also get the original two Serious Sam Classic games for free if you buy this, though this includes both anyway.

I love Transistor. Wonderful game! And the soundtrack is great; I ended up ordering the physical version from their website.
