Haha, for a little while, at least. It's just too intriguing for me to ignore -- I pre-ordered it via Humble earlier in the year. Alientrap had mentioned that "early pre-orders" will receive beta access, however with the game due to launch late next month I presume this is no longer happening.

Agreed. It's demoralising enough sucking at a game without having everyone point out how much you suck. Yes I know I'm on the bottom of the ladder and have a K:D ratio that would make a newb look good. Leave me alone! Lol.

Looking at Hotel Lisbon's page, I found this:

I had the same problem, but i was able to get my key using Desura client this way:

1. Open the Desura client
2. Click on the blue button at the top left
3. Click on History>Gifts History
4. Click on the “your collection” link in blue
5. Click on “Keys” next to Murder in the Hotel Lisbon

Make sure you're using the client.

The stage progression on Abyss Odyssey seems to be like Binding of Isaac... You keep your abilities and levels but if you die or quit the game you will have to start over. If it is well balanced and you can get the needed abilities in a decent amount of time I guess I'm okay with it but it can be a pain in the ass at the beginning.

Doesn't ruin the game for me but some noobs might get frustrated by it.

Sounds a bit like Rogue Legacy in that case. I'll probably still get it but that's not my favourite style of play, the repetition eventually wears me out.
