Not exactly, they changed the SUB = the witcher 3 you guys are now buying can now be either activation locked OR runtime locked. Before the US/RU subs were clumped together, now it is not.

If you buy now, very likely you can end up with a useless copy u can't even use without a RU VPN.

If you need a comparison, check my inventory, the first witcher 3 = prechange, the second witcher 3 = postchange.

Anyone here doing strictly PC gaming?

I already sold my Vita, PS3 and Xbox 360. But I'm considering getting rid of the 3DS and Wii U as well.

And then just keeping my Gaming PC, PlayStation 4 and iPhone for my gaming needs.

I would like to hear how people with only a PC are doing. Or even a PC and PS4.

I'm pc and ps4 only right now and I get on great (will be upgrading my PC next year so it'll be even more of a pc focus than it is now), I don't feel like I'm missing out on too much tbh, just any MS exclusives I guess and there haven't been many that have took my fancy yet.

I've never been much of a fan of handhelds or Nintendo mind.

There is not a blatant difference, but if you have enhanced steam you can see the different SUB IDs.

The copy I activated says RU when I look it up in account details. I think I'm still good though, 8 Keys was a good deal, and Valiant Hearts also still works with that stupid RU tag in account details. I don't think CD Projekt will be huge asses about this, they will just add a trade restriction in the next step. I already activated my copy before it's too late.

When we are playing: Estimate Time

What is this?:
This is a time when SteamGAF can get together to play CS:GO. We will be playing casual matches, players from all skill levels are welcome! New! Join the NeoGAF Games Night group. You will receive a notification through Steam as to when we are starting. PM anyone in the group for an invite.

What we are playing:
We are playing public matches through the casual matchmaking system. Due to the limitations of the party system there are only 10 spots available in the party. After the party is full, we will be placed in a public server where anyone can join the game.

How to join us:
At the designated time I will make another post here announcing that we are starting. Add me as a friend on steam and through the main menu join the same game that I am in at that time.

In the future:
If we have enough consistent players, we may consider setting up or renting a server for drop in drop out gaf matches.

Come join us and have fun!

They never were against region locking. Witcher 2 was also locked in Russia.

All this region locking seems to be a standard among Eastern European pubs/devs. If I'm not mistaken 1C and some other companies always region lock their games

The major sales are the Summer, Autumn/Fall sales and the Winter Seal.

You'll see various sales on Steam for franchise or companies though, and certain period where sites have sales on various PC games.

its totally understandable and again, im really surprised it doesnt happen more. these prices are silly, especially on new games, they are basically 50% off compared to euro/US prices

I think that in the case of The Witcher 3, it's a problem with it being on Xbox.

Eh, I really doubt regional trading is so widespread that it makes a large impact on their sales, I imagine most people just wouldn't buy the game at all if they couldn't get it for a cheap price.
